Sunshine by Mail

Today has been a dark and cloudy day with lots of rain off and on.
Even though every day is a soup day in my book, today it was especially called for.
Chickpea, tomato and pasta soup with spicy baked pita chips.
Yum!
Although it was cloudy outside, I had a little sunshine delivered to me by mail.
The photo postcards I won in Dagmar's October giveaway arrived.
And they are so very beautiful!
Thanks Dagmar!
Friends are the sunshine of life.

Have a great day!

Hi Tammy,

Wow! The sky looks like it's about to burst open, as we say here in Greece! Your chickpea soup looks scrumptious! We have something quite similar here, either made with tomato or lemon.

Enjoy!

Hi, Tammy,
Like you, I am a soup girl. I usually cook a large pot of it, and then, freeze several containers so I can enjoy it in the days ahead. When I did my Thanksgiving post and mentioned being thankful for the friends I had met at Bunny Cottage, you, dear one, were right there on that list. I appreciate your friendship very much. Congratulations on your wonderful presents in the mail. Hope your week is a wonderful one! Vicki

Wow the soup looks delish. Do you crochet around the rock or start and then add it as you go along. I love the way they look.

Hi Tammy- your little postcards would certainly brighten a dark day! Sometimes though-- I like being home on dark rainy days. The soup looks divine-- I'd be having a double bowl of that!

It is pouring buckets here. The streets are flooded with gigantic puddles and the wind makes it even worse. Your soup sounds like the ticket so I am off to make some right now. I am slowly getting my voice back. It has been 19 days of quiet around her with no voice. LOL Take care. Hugs!!!

The sun was glorious today. I started out in boots and long sleeves...next thing I knew I was sheading boots, putting on sandals, and a sleeveless top.

I'm loving this weather. Is is forecast like this for Thanksgiving, so all the family will be here, and we will celebrate and count our blessings in the back yard.

It's warm here in the 70's but I love soup too and by suppertime it's cooled off. Yours looks yummy!
I love rainy days. Thanksgiving night it's supposed to rain and then get colder so I am enjoying these last few sunny and warm days outside as much as possible for Winter is coming!
Congrats on the cards....they're lovely!
