We may run, walk, stumble, drive, or fly, but let us never lose sight of the reason for the journey, or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way.
My rainbow today is in the form of all this colorful cotton yarn.
My first handtowels with crocheted border were given as gifts with a nice bar of soap.
One to Melissa's mother (who is visiting from the States).
And the second to Melissa (her favorite color is green).
The towels come from Ikea and only cost about .75 cents each.
So with my hook and a bit of yarn, they are getting the rainbow treatment.
Colorful borders in green, purple ...
blue and gold.
There's no pattern involved.
Just experimenting with a series of stitches until I come up with something I'm pleased with.
May you always find rainbows to brighten your day!
Best wishes and blessings,

Great gift idea. One can never have too many towels.
Love your rainbow of yarn.
Enjoy hooking up some fun.
Love this!! You will start to want to crochet the edges of so many things! Very addicting.:) Have a great night! xo Heather
These towels are great...IKEA is so good for these basics that can be spruced up with yarn or a bit of paint.
Are you using a sharp hook?
Dearest Tammy,
Love the green one, together with the bar of soap it looked like a regal gift!
Enjoy your stitches.
Love to you,
Mariette

I could never do that, Tammy. Great job. Susan
There you go again, making something so adorable. Anyone would be trilled to receive a towel and pretty soap. I am always amazed at what can be found at Ikea and good prices too. Your rainbow of yarn is beautiful.
Tammy, those are wonderful..what perfect gifts..made by hand and so useful! I must ry to make a few of those to have on hand as gifts..looks like you are enjoying your day❤
They make fantastic gifts, Tammy...and beautiful colours too!
Btw, I solved the mystery of the tree 'poop' and updated my post with the info. It was actually a Rust Fungus Gall which kills part or most of the tree. Interesting. Thanks for dropping by ~ xo
Hi Tammy

What a beautiful gift idea, I love handmade presents. Such a thoughtful present. Loving your rainbow of beautiful hues:)
Oh, Tammy! These are beautiful! What lucky friends you have! That yarn looks yummy! Have a nice day! Twyla
Tammy you did such a great job on those towels. Have a nice day!
such lovely borders and the idea is wonderful for gift giving. Do you make the border and then attach it or crochet it through the towel?
Hi Tammy, The borders give such a lovely look to the towels. Beautiful yarn. Thanks for visiting me.
Love.
Tammy, they're gorgeous! They look like those expensive ones you see in gift stores that cost and arm and a leg! LOL!
Look at all that yarn! Is it all yours? How wonderful! Edging is on my YOP list. How did you attach your yarn to the towel? Did you do a blanket stitch first? I want to do pillowcases with edging too. What weight is that yarn? The soap to go with it is such a perfect gift! Who wouldn't love that. I'm putting that on my gifts to make for Christmas and birthdays and whatever list. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration.
Love mine and so does my mother. Thank you so much. My pile of crocheted goodies keeps getting higher and higher...HA! These would make a great gift especially wrapped around some homemade goodies.
Love these towels they look yummy! Thank you for visiting my blog, for I found yours. Also loved the little crochet birdie in the beginning. Colors are great! So glad I stopped by! Happy Olympics!
