An Unexpected Day

Yesterday school was closed because of the dust storm.  I didn't quite understand why since yesterday's weather was so much better than the day before, but why ask why.  I got a lot done at home.
It's been awhile since I've had any visitors to my balcony so I was happy to see these two doves stop by.
I walked around the block to see what was blooming.
And even made a trip to the yarn store.
Today blue skies were back and it was a beautiful day!

Wishing you all a great week!

Hi Tammy,
Glad to hear your blue skies are back. A dust storm doesn't sound too pleasant, but the unexpected day off might have made up for it :). The flowers are looking pretty in your part of the world and it is always a joy to see doves come to visit.

I am trying really hard to use up some of my stash...and most of it is wool or a mix, so it's getting a bit harder now that it's wrmed up so much!! My next stash will consist of more cotton...yours looks fabulous...so glad you are keeping the crafting up even though you get busy with the other stuff!!! Our doves are back and making plans to nest...she hasn't chosen the right bush yet!!!

We woke up to snow yesterday and today I can see a little blue poking out through the clouds. I love the colors of your yarn, they are just yummy. I am off today because I will be working Saturday, I have spent the time doing a little decorating, it has been fun.

So glad you enjoyed your day off. This weather is so strange. We are experiencing extremely cool weather for this time of year. I can see snow on the mountains around Phoenix. Rain and hail yesterday here at our house. Our first rain in 90 days. Snow on the ground a few miles away at a friend's house. Back to the 80's by Thursday!!!

Yep...enjoy your day off and I love your doves! We have gray ones here that I always loved as a kid because of their "cooing". I can remember listening to them and they were called Morning Doves or so I thought. I think I was mistaken and they were really called Mourning Doves. Either way I love them.
Oh...and the yarn...I have been wrestling with an order of just that! I need cotton yarn in all different colors but it's going to cost me! LOL!

Duststorm sounds very exotic to me. :)
Now I need to get something done here at home as well. I am sooo lazy nowadays. Just waiting for the spring! :)
