A Bit O'Green

Yesterday's spinach and feta gozleme was great for breakfast this morning.  Even with a quick blast in the microwave, the baked dough did not go tough or soggy.
I enjoy weekends so much.  Most people use them for catching up on everything they've not gotten to during the week.  But I like to relax and try new things on the weekend and do my running around during the week when I am already out and about.  We've still had hazy days but the sun has managed to peek out just a bit and Jingles has taken full advantage of it.
The text I added to the above photo was done using a photo editing site that I read about yesterday on Claudia's blog.  It's called PicMonkey and is free.  There's no collage feature yet but they are working on it, so will be a great alternative to Picnik when it goes.

This morning I whipped up these little crocheted clovers.  Pattern can be found here.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Post Note:  A couple of hours later, a sand storm rolled in.  The sun is no longer visible.

I love weekends too. I get all my cleaning and laundry done during the week so I can relax when it's time!

Hi Tammy...Can't believe how you can crochet like that! Amazing.

Ohhhhhh, the sand storm does not look fun at all. Like a blizzard here.

Enjoy your weekend anyway. You deserve it! Susan

I took the liberty of printing off that picture of Jingles. What a beautiful lesson - I'm putting it on my inspiration board to remind me to smile and keep my face to the sun. Sorry about the sandstorm, I hope you have a great weekend anyway, and Happy St Patrick's Day my friend in Kuwait!!! Diane

What a great pic! And thanks for the info about a new photo site. I was wondering what I was going to do when Picnik closed. I will check them out right away. Happy St. Patty's Day! Kit

Love the picture of Jingles, looks like it belongs in a magazine. Your crochet clovers look great. Seems like we are always running around on the weekend, but ds's indoor soccer is over and the weather is starting to get nice here, so hope to enjoy some time outside. :-)

I love your clovers Tammy!!! I happy to hear that you love to savor your weekends and make them more special than the rest of the week. My days just all seem to run into one another, although I do spend my Sundays relaxing : )
It has been raining for five days here and I feel like I'm growing webs between my toes!
sending you hugs from here...

I love to relax on weekends too although I did do some housework yesterday (Saturday). Your brekkie looks delicious! And those Irish clovers look so cute! Not liking the look of that dust storm tho.

Love and hugs,

Life is getting busier and I am just reading your several last posts. Mr. C and I really like the food you prepare and eat. Your little crocheted shamrocks are adorable. Sorry you are still having horrible dust storms. We are still having rain. Wonderful weekend dear...

Hi Tammy, I use the translator translated and sometimes incorrect, inappropriate words! I am surprised by these photos of dust storms, they do occur? You know your dishes look appetizing! and I love your creations in crochet! Jingles seems to enjoy the sun! that expression of satisfaction or contentment seems. Reetings, Rose M.

Hi Tammy,

Your sand storms are so fascinating. I can't even imagine what that is like. I'm with you on weekends - I'd rather not run around if I can help it however I typically do my errands on Saturday. Sundays I then use for myself. I love Jingles face as he is maximizing the sun on it - that is so cute, would make a great enlargement. What a sweetie Jingles is in that pic!

Is it cozy when you have a dust storm like when we get snow storms? I love a good blizzard as long as I'm home and a full larder, good books, candles, wood for the fireplace and YARN! LOL!
I love those shamrocks! How cute are they...I need to make some for next year and maybe enough for a banner? I'm really into those banners right now although I have yet to make one! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you also!
