Last night's dessert (minus the pound cake) became this morning's breakfast -- sweetened yogurt with fresh strawberries, walnuts and a sprinkling of oatmeal.
Oatmeal was also used to bake up some Apricot-Sultana Oat Cookies. I wrote down the recipe from someone's blog last week but forgot to make note of where I got it. Hate it when I do that.
In a comment from yesterday's post, Diane from Pinecones & Roses asked what the brown jars used to hold. I use an organic vegetable broth extract powder to season most everything I make. If a soup recipe calls for stock, I just add water and the powdered extract to season.
Needless to say, I cook a lot and, therefore, I go through a lot of these jars. The label washes off nicely and doesn't leave a residue which is why they are perfect for repurposing.
Hubby and I managed to walk for about an hour this afternoon. It was a very windy day so there was a bit of dust in the air. Maybe I just notice it more because I wear contacts.
Another weekend just about over.
They always go by way too fast.
I hope your day is a good one!

I love the moon, all of its shapes are beautiful.
We have just moved the bed into the window again and from there we can bath in moonlight when its out. In the winter we move it to the other side of the room, (its warmer) just hoping we don't get too many cold nights now. lol

The moon is beautiful, the cookies look delicious and you've got me longing for warmer days here so we can enjoy being outside!

Hi T! You are always eating the best things. I love that you eat so healthy. There will be a big pay-off for you when you are my age. Well really, it's always a great pay-off isn't it?
It sounds like a wonderful FULL day to me.
sending hugs...
GREAT PICTURE OF THE MOON....YUMMY...
OATMEAL COOKIES....JUST LOVE THEM...
HOPE YOUR WEEK A HEAD IS A GOOD ONE.....RIZZI
Hi Tammy....Daylight savings time weekend so we'll be turning or clocks ahead.
Toured a maple syrup house today and had breakfast in the Calf-A restaurant there. Yummy yum yum
Hope you had a good rest of the weekend. Susan
Hi Tammy,Such a magical moon picture, well worth getting up early for ;) Have a sweet week ahead xxx
Love your yummy photos and so glad you had a wonderful weekend, hugs to you,
Meredith
Yum! That food looks so good! We had the lights off and the blinds and windows open and that moon was so bright when I fell asleep. I love it when it's so pretty like that.
Love that photo of the moon. Our weather has been in the 70's but we too have had wind. Today I would call it breezy.
My hubby and I just had an afternoon snack on the patio. Beautiful with orange blossoms but my allergies are acting up. I too wear contacts and one day last week, there was so much "stuff" in the air that I took them out. I don't like wearing glasses but sometimes it is necessary.
You're so right... the minute you start appreciating, I mean, really enjoying your weekend, it's almost over. Sigh...Oh well, can't complain, it's good to have the 2 days off, right? :)
We had a beautifull full moon around here between the 7th and the 8th. It always fascinates me...
Have a great week, Tammy XXX
That's so weird because I was out last night taking pictures of the moon too. It was beautiful but obviously I am NOT a photographer because my photos just looked like a black piece of paper with a yellow dot in the middle but to my eyes last night I could see the shadings, trees, sky but it certainly didn't transpose to my pictures.
The cookies look so yummy and so did your breakfast. Enjoy your weekend!
Gorgeous shot of the moon, my friend! You always have the best, most healthy things to eat! It sounds like you have had a very nice weekend and kitty seems to be enjoying it, too. We have had a wet, cold weekend so far in Texas but warmer weather is on the way! Blessings always~ Vicki
Thanks for the explanation on the jars Tammy and for mentioning my blog. All of that food sounds wonderful. Isn't it kind of amazing that that very same moon is the one I stood and gazed at last night - 1/2 way around the world!! That's a great picture of it. Diane
gorgeous picture of the moon...never heard it called that...husband and I went for a walk today also...cool and wet here in Vancouver...take care..
Still fully entrenched in enjoying our weekend here for at least one more day. Sunday nights are always the worst for me it seems, but this week will be approached a little easier knowing that our spring break is just 5 work/school days away. :D Not our usual Spring Break (years past we've headed on a big vacation somewhere warm with Sarah and as many as 3 of her friends), but we'll have fun and hopefully knowing that we'll take our larger family vacation in June.
We had another full day of fun here - nothing productive really, other than Sarah getting her passport photo done so I can begin on her application. Need that for her to travel to Canada with us these days. Otherwise, we walked at the Sculpture Park in Champaign/Urbana, enjoying the warm springlike day and working on photography as usual. Last night (wrote about on the blog) was the best. It's been a great weekend.
Love your photos.
Linda
The moon is beautiful and you breakfast looks so yummy! It looks like something I would eat for a snack. I am embarrassed that I haven't been by your blog in so long, but as you may know, I bought a house and inherited a huge project getting it all together. Time is limited!
Hi Tammy, It sounds like you've had a lovely weekend. Your photo of the moon is beautiful - I love sitting on our front steps and watching the moon and stars each evening. Have a great week hon! Becks x

I saw that moon, too! We had Spring Open House at the shop this weekend so I'm pooped......I need a 2nd weekend. Have a good week!
Reminded me of the full moon art doll project I started a couple years ago. I did the full wolf moon and several others thru the year but never finished all 12.
It's been rainy and cooler here. Enjoy your posts always. Have a good day.
Wonderful moon pic, Tammy!
Breakfast looked very healthy and nutritious.
I use a vegetable broth powder in a lot of things too...Vegeta. Delicious for soups. I'll have to look out for an organic one.
Agreed...weekends never seem long enough. :(
Enjoy a beautiful week ahead ~ xo
What a wonderful picture of the moon. You did well with that! I hope you have had a good week since this post. I always enjoy visiting your blog.
