Looking Up and Out

Our weather has been all over the place this week.  Sunsets with color mean skies are clear.  Hazy sunsets like today's, mean clouds or dust, or both.
Jingles and a fine feathered friend have taken advantage of good weather days by spending time on the balcony, just not at the same time.
And on dusty days, we stay inside and watch the world go by.
Curry and chowder have been on the menu this week.  Unfortunately, my family does not share my love of Indian food and soup.  That just means all the more for me.
Have you seen the moon?  It's right outside my bedroom window again and easy to spot even through the clouds.
My new friend in blogland is having a  lovely giveaway of a crocheted pillow with knitted backside.  I love the colors in the one on the left.  Please visit Elna Sudden to enter before April 5th.
Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

Those pillow are darling and they look so soft! A giveaway? I better sign up and I love getting to meet new bloggers who like to crochet.
Oh, I meant to tell you...I did appreciate that Debbie MaComber website for the hats and such. In fact, her book is up next to be read. I have knitted hats and made baby quilts that get donated through the quilt guild I belong to. There are so many wonderful organizations like that. Our baby blankets go to our local pregnancy center over our 3 counties and then the hats go to cancer patients. It's all good! My knitted hats so far have been made on that circle weaving thing...I call it a "cheater wheel"! LOL! But this year I think I might be able to stitch a regular one with my new knitting skills! We'll see...it will probably be slower at first. Great to talk to you, as always and see what you're up to.

The peek-a-boo kitty in the flower pot is too cute!

I just finished a crocheted pillow similar to the ones in your post. I crocheted the back and plan on sharing it soon.

Your "sky" pics are great! EWWW-dust that makes you stay inside does not sound good. Love Jingles :-)

Neat moon picture! Yes, Sarah and I noticed a cool crescent moon on Saturday night, but I haven't noticed it lately because the time seems to be off here (setting in the evening).

Jim would never eat anything with curry in it, but I think I might like it.

I'm not sure that Winston could handle the dust that Jingles does.... Winston has bad allergies just like everyone in our family and I ended up taking him to the vet this afternoon because he hasn't been able to breathe well lately and had some bloody noses along with cold symptoms. The vet thinks it's a Sinus Infection and she gave him an injection to help him breathe and put him on antibiotics (pill form because as she said - his temperment is so docile, she thinks we can handle giving him those). That will be Sarah since she's the one not afraid to open his mouth like that (with my assistance on inserting half a pill twice a day for something like 10 days).

I'm so glad the week is flying by. I'm ready for our Friday.

Hope you have a nice remainder of the week and a nice weekend,
Linda

I know it's so simple to most but to me it's still amazing that we're looking up at that same spectacle in the sky. You should hear my 10 yr. old g'son trying to explain it to me. We just decided it's God's gift to us. Hope the dust ends soon for you. Jan

Dearest Tammy,

Interesting photos you show here from the ever changing weather. So what does your family eat? I was of the impression, they all loved Indian food. Too bad for them as they certainly miss out on one of the best food in the world. Healthy too.
Jingles is quite a character.
Elna is a fine blogger friend. I do have her button on the side bar.
Love to you,

Mariette

I enjoyed my visit here this evening. Your enjoyment for the simple things in life --- like tea, chocolate, kitties, and crochet --- always inspire me! Thanks for sharing so willingly --- it is most encouraging!

It's been forever since I've been here and I've missed so much. We don't have internet connected to the house yet, but if I go outside and sit in our tiny "yard", we can get from roaming. I love my neighbors and they don't even know it yet. I've got to try that gozleme. Looks soooooo good. Maybe you can make some more with that wee little potato that you found. I think you should just save it. As always, I see that you haven't stopped doing what you love to do. Have a great day and let's get together soon!

Hello Dear Tammy ~ for some reason I always get a thrill thinking of blog friends in far off lands and I looking at the same moon and sun...seems silly and hard to explain...but ah well

Love your post about watching the world go by...I am doing that on and off as my eye tries to find clarity and balance after my surgery...eye sight is such a precious thing!

Hope you and yours are having a lovely weekend! Thank you very much for your kind wishes!

does Jingles ever try to go out in the dust? Just curious....Leo loves to go out in the rain but not when it thunders or has lightening in the area.....
