It's the Weekend Already

It's a gray day here.  Gray and hazy.  Dreary and dusty.
In my book, every day is a soup day, but even moreso on days like this. I made roasted cauliflower soup.  Few ingredients, really easy and delicious, served up with Monterey Jack cheese and seasoned croutons.

Despite the weather, Jingles insisted on heading outdoors, tip-toeing her way around all the puddles.

The good news is we have a three-day weekend, so I shall happily don my favorite at-home attire, color my world with my newly purchased yarn, and cozy up on the couch for a crafty evening.
What's happening in your corner of the world?

Wow, lucky you.
It's not the weekend here yet and it can't come soon enough for me.

I'm looking forward to 2 nights and 2 1/2 days of peace and quiet - Jim will be off to Canada and Sarah is off to her Dad's.
Hooray me.

Enjoy your long weekend playing with the beautiful yarn! I haven't done it in ages, but I used to love creating all sorts of things, besides afghans and sweaters.

Have a good one!

Okay...I'm confused...I know you said you had a 3 day weekend but your post said Wednesday so is your weekend Thursday through Saturday and you work on Sunday? Just curious.
I can't wait to make that soup! I love everything about it especially the cauliflower and the cheese! Yum!
Is that all YOUR yarn? You must be making something really big! LOL!
Do you knit or crochet or both? What are you making? I crochet and just finished a bright yellow tote bag with flowers on the outside and I'm just learning to knit. I've made a few scarves and now I'm making the 2nd of a pair of oven mitts that will be felted...that way my mistakes won't show! LOL! Enjoy your long weekend whenever it is!

Cold and cloudy here. Supposed to be snow tonight. I just stay inside and watch Downton Abbey and bake. Makes the house feel so cozy. Kit

10:00 p.M. and 27 degrees as I write this. My husband is putting up some knotty pine in the kitchen and I spent the afternoon standing around trying to be helpful. It's needed to be done for umpteen years so I'm not complaining. Diane

I love soup! And you are right ~ it's a great meal for any day.

It looks like sweet Jingles got to enjoy some sniffy sniffs outside. Despite the puddles! Very cute!

Wishing you a happy long weekend ~ enjoy your extra day off! Woot woot!
