Yesterday Out and About

We had some pretty amazing cloud cover yesterday.

After spending two and a half days at home, it was time to get out and about.
We met friends, who are hosting members of the Italian-Kuwaiti Friendship Association, at Al Muhallab Restaurant for lunch.  The restaurant is decorated with antiques and memorabilia from Kuwait.
Along with our order of grilled fish and shrimp, we were served a large selection of appetizers (cold mezza), hot fresh bread, rice and sauce
Dessert (fresh fruits and traditional sweets) and tea were also served with the meal.  Muhallabia (milk pudding) is one of my favorites.
Food is our common ground, a universal experience.

We had a lovely afternoon.  Good food and good company are always a perfect combination.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

What a fun day out. Great to see you are having blue skies. At least no dust. I'll take a few white clouds over dust any day. This must be the best time of year over there, right? Is there such a thing as four season, like here in the midwest. Which by the way, we are kind of skipping winter this year here.

Yes, I agree, a
winning combo!
Looked like quite
the delicious spread
to linger over, too.
Glad the weather
improved, even if
it meant getting out
of your pjs : ) Had
to laugh at that, as
you are a girl after
my own heart!!!

Lovely group photo! :)

Glad you enjoyed a wonderful day. I enjoyed 3 marvelous days of being a hermit, which is what I love best - drawing, self-portrait photography, bubble bath, luxury.

Hope you have a great new week,
Linda

Looks like a wonderful day out, Tammy! (I sure do love the days in, too--today is my only "in" day this week--going to enjoy it!)

I really loved reading your "memories of Mammaw". So touching. I do that all the time. SO many memories of loved ones in my head. It's a good thing. Love the thought of fig & ginger jam. I'll have to find a recipe for that!

Wishing you a beautiful day, dear friend!

Julie
