White Wednesday Wishes

Last week I bought this wonderful book called "Living With Lace".

Each page is filled with pictures to inspire.

I had another yarn session with Kathy to help with the shell part of the trellis shawl. I started over with a different yarn today. Would not have had enough of the other one and just didn't like the way it looked. The pattern actually calls for medium/worsted weight yarn but that is nowhere to be found in Kuwait.

Kathy gave me a bunch of bits and bobs to craft with.

And this sweet little nativity set from Mexico that I just love.

Although I haven't accomplished a whole lot, today has been a good day! Wishing you well! Tammy

Your stuff is so pretty. In the past couple of days that I've known about your blog, I've started referring to you as the 'lace queen' in my mind. :)
You make the most beautiful things with is.
Happy New Year!

Hope you are ready for the New Year. Is it celebrated in Kuwait?? Because of our crazy schedule we will sleep New Year in. We never party anyway.....

I'm so glad you've had a great day :) The yarn is lovely and I imagine how beautiful the shawl will be when it's completed.

Thank you for your wonderful comment on my blog today - I wrote you a response there as well.

We've had a wonderful Wednesday - lunch out with my parents and our friends who were over last night as well.

I'll be planning for our next celebration which will be the New Year's Day dinner with my parents. Daughter will be away then and the house will be quiet. Makes me sad, but at least I know she will be home Sunday night and yes, it will then be back to reality of work and school. The school year will then fly - since we'll be in their last two quarters of 8th grade. Soon, we will be immersed in picking out the High School class schedule. Sometimes I wish that I could permanently slow down life.

Hope you have a wonderful remainder of the week and Happy New Year celebrations.
Linda

Ooo, that book looks like a must-have for inspiration. Your shawl looks gorgeous...can't you get yarn on-line? or is shipping exhorbitant? I love the Nativity set from Mexico, too.

In ♥ with your new look☺ I'm seeing lots of us gals taking down the holiday decor for a more understated look. Guess we want to tone things down a bit☺

The year is coming rapidly to a close but I can't let it end without telling you that YOU are one of the treasures I can count on putting into my little bag of goodies to carry with me into 2010. Thanks for being my friend and for bringing so much joy into my blogging life.

I love looking at crafty books...but lace is kinda foreign to me. You can craft with just about anything...and do it right. I want to knit and will be looking for a "how to book for dummies" soon at borders. Have a great day Tammy!

I thought the book was a story, but the pictures tell differently. How very cool!! I have little doubt that you will get many good ideas from the book. How wonderful!!

I am totally taken with Three Cups of Tea. It is not an easy read, but I am really enjoying it.

How nice that you have had more croceting time with Kathy today. The stitches look fantastic. Wish I had been able to send you some yarn. SOme things are not meant to be. BOO!! Her nativity scene is precious. I am sure you will be happy to find a place for it next Christmas!

Glad you enjoyed your day!! There will plenty of time to get things done!

Love ya,
Renee
