A little at a time
I always feel like I am not doing enough because I didn't get done all that I wanted. But in truth, I've accomplished so much. We all got ready and out the door for school this morning; a full day of work; shopping with Yusef while Zack tried out for basketball(the kids homeroom classes are buying Christmas gifts for one of the support staff at school so we got a nice blanket, long sleeved shirt, socks and scarf for the worker that his class will be gifting); back to pick Zack up from school; ate lunch at 5 pm; decorated the tree; made banana muffins, fudge and Mexican wedding cookies; folded clothes; washed dishes -- and still so much to do.
This morning when I got to my desk, I had a surprise waiting for me.
It was a gift from my boss and his wife. A vegetarian soup cookbook that is put out by the Halifax Canada theater company their son is in.
Yum! The first one I want to try is "Indian Spiced Zucchini Coconut Soup." Sounds delish!
Here's a little more of the decorating I've been doing.
A handpainted bowl from the Handicapped Society.
I love my crocheted garlands. Will be making some in my regular decorating colors that I can use year round. (Of course, red is one of my colors.
Just before I took this picture of Jingles, she was trying to swat some ornaments loose so she could bat them around the living room. Now she is sitting so pretty and looking at me like "What did I do?"
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree! How lovely ...
It's 10:25 pm here in Kuwait. Already past my bedtime, but I need to go tie up the baked goods, tidy up the kitchen, and then maybe sit and crochet just a bit before I hit the hay. Hope you all had a productive start to your week. Blessings, Tammy

It is 3:16 p.m. est here... Amazing how the internet has made the world smaller!!
Here in NE Pennsylvania we have about 4" of snow on the ground & yesterday we had a bad ice storm. Many accidents on the roads... Don't know why people can't stay home until the roads are treated??
Our temps are in the 40's but it will get cold here again by Wednesday... 20's in the day & single digit at night. Brrrrr.... Ah winter... Chapped lips, chapped hands & cold toes! Can't wait for summer once again!!
Love the pic of Jingles & your tree is so pretty!!
Merry Christmas!
Love,
Marilyn
MY YOU ARE A BUSY GIRL..I REMEMBER WHEN I COULD ACCOMPLISH ALL THOSE THINGS. TO BE YOUNG AGAIN.....LOVE THE CHRISTMAS TREE..AND JINGLES SITTING THERE..
LOVE TO ALL
What's a Mexican wedding cookie? Is that like a chaco taco or something?
That soup sounds delicious! I'm having zucchini with dinner tonight. It might be my favorite vegetable.
Wow Tammy, how do you do it? You did so much. Baking one batch of cookies alone would probably take me all day :-) Speaking of cookies....love those Mexican wedding cookies. They are my fave. Anyway, hope you got some rest after all that. Have a wonderful evening. Until next time. Oh! Almost forgot to tell you...your Christmas tree is so pretty.
Hugs,
♥Ana
Good golly Tammy please don't be so hard on yourself. Look at all you did get done. I used to be that way too. I guess Mom's are busy 24/7.

I got tired just reading all you did today! I hate to admit that yesterday I didn't do anything, just vegged with my puppy and cat. I felt guilty, so tonight I am trying to do a little laundry and straighten up. But I won't get nearly as much done as you did today!
Your day sounds as busy as mine. It involved a nice long walk, a few errands, making biscotti and Mexican Wedding cookies, Wii Active, clean up, and the list goes on. The recipes from the cookbook sound AMAZING. Please don't forget to share them when you make it. I still make soup every week (Curried Butternut Squash Soup today...)
Your decorating looks amazing. Nice to be back on the blog. Hope you are able to get to bed at a decent time!!
Love,
Renee

I'd love to email you...to get your snail mail addy for 2010....val
We always forget to count the small things that make our day more busier. I have been baking everyday this week. I really want to try fudge but have never made it before. I know your recipe is around here somewhere. What a thoughtful boss you have to give you something that he knows you would enjoy. The tree is looking great and the garlands are adorable. Can't wait to see the whole picture when I come to visit. Good luck to Zack on basketball. Going to go bake some sugar cookies now.
Your Christmas tree looks so pretty, Tammy. And Jingles does look quite the innocent ;) Love your crocheted garlands. I've made a few this season, too...and some stars I think i already mentioned. enjoy your wonderful time off doing the fun stuff.
