At school they are doing a Secret Santa. I didn't join in as I prefer to spread joy throughout the year, not just during a special occasion. One of my co-workers in the accounting office wanted to join in but found out it was too late, so I thought, what fun it would be to surprise her with little gifts each day. Yesterday I put a wrapped snowman ornament on her chair before she arrived to school. She couldn't accept that she was only receiving and not giving, so she passsed on gifts to someone else in the office who she felt may know the identity of her Special Surprise Secret Santa. This is what she sent my way, although she doesn't know I am the receiver of such wonderful goodies.
I used some of the wrapping paper from her gifts to craft a card and this is what I will be giving to her tomorrow, anonymously, of course.
“There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward.” (Khalil Gibran)
The funny thing is, three others have joined in on the fun, so now she is really confused as to who is sending her gifts and why!
“Joy is the feeling of grinning inside.” (Melba Colgrove)

Now that is the best kind of Secret Santa! This sounds like a lot of fun as she continues to try to figure out who is giving her gifts. Enjoy.

I LOVE things like this!!! So much fun and joy in giving ~ now you're sparking the ideas in me as well, and I'm thinking what I might do for some holiday surprises... :)
Hi Tammy! That sounds like so much fun especially because it is unexpected and now she can't really guess who her "secret" santa is. What a great thing to do - you are just a doll!
Sharon :-)
What a lovely idea, & I simply love the things which you've made/given ! It's so true, & I agree - there is so much more joy in giving than recieving - especially at this time of the year. I love the quote by Khalil Gibran - 'The Prophet' is one of my favourites .....
What a great idea to spread some joy!
I beg she didn't expect that. Your gifts are wonderful as always. I'm sure you will give yourself away by recycling the paper. Great ideas and glad to hear your spreading the cheer.
