White Wednesday Wishes

Real joy comes not from ease or riches or from the praise of men, but from doing something worthwhile. ~
Sir Wilfred Grenfell (1865 - 1940)

I finished up this little garland tonite and pinned it to the curtain in my tv room. Over the summer, I had decided I would just make simple squares from leftover yarn and one day I would find something to do with them. Then I found dottieangel's blog where she had crocheted up a gleeful garland and that's when I knew what I could do with all the squares. I put my own little twist on it by using words for the holiday season. I previously posted the PEACE garland I made in red squares. Such a quick and easy project. The kids are all better now. I went to my hairdresser's tonite to try and teach her to crochet. She knits, so that gives her a head start. Now I am off to bed. One more day of school and then it is the weekend. I love short weeks. Wishing you a joyful day! Blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy, it IS hard to believe that December is already here. Nice crocheted garland. I have not crocheted in years, but sometimes feel the urge to get my needle and yarns out. This could inspire me to do so. Have a good weekend. Debby

Hi Tammy!
Love the garland!! Christmas will be here before we know it!!
I keep promising myself to take another try at the knitted socks after the holidays when things settle down. Right now I am doing another dresser scarf in embroidery!
Happy Holidays!

That is a really good idea for a garland. That's nice that you want to share the craft of crochet. I had the opportunity to teach a young gal I know a few stitches and it felt good to share something I love and she was excited about it too. I'm sure your hairdresser will be blessed.

Have a great weekend.

What a wonderful way to use up old yarn. I love all the new ideas you are coming up with. Glad you have lots of bloggers that keep you inspired.
I am happy to hear the boys are feeling better, and that you had enough energy to make it over to Kathy's house tonight. Did she pick up the crocheting? Is there hope for me?? Hope you make it to bed at a decent time tonight. Happy Thursday!!!!

Love,
Renee

Tammy - what a sweet little crocheted banner! I love the word "Joy" to use for a banner, note or whatever. I left a comment on your previous post also - just found a moment to read it tonight...

Hi Tammy,
Cute garland! I would love to learn how to knit! I crocheted granny squares years ago , but I don't even remember how to do that. Have a beautiful day!
