Thankful Thursday

“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...we need silence to be able to touch souls.” -- Mother Teresa

This morning as I was getting ready for school, I could see the moon out my balcony window. It was awesome and these photos certainly don't show how brilliantly it appeared in the sky. I took these especially for Marilyn at http://ourvictoriancottage.blogspot.com/ as I immediately thought of her post from yesterday (being awakened at 3 am by Bailey and sighting the beautiful moon).

From my other balcony on the opposite side, I could see the rising of the sun. All of these pictures were taken at 6:40 this morning.

"The light which puts out our eyes is darkness to us. Only that day dawns to which we are awake. There is more day to dawn. The sun is but a morning star."
Henry David Thoreau

The weekend has begun here in Kuwait!

How awsome that you could see the sun coming up and the moon at the same time. A reminder that God is in charge of our days and our nights. Mother Teresa was a wise woman. HUGS CUZ!!!!

wow way cool what a cool way to start or end a day uh..

hey got a hint for you on my ornies...if you use alchol in colored balls you can clean out the color and then use any clear shiny floor wax with any glitter to make them...doesn't have to be the specific ones shown in the video...I used other glitters too..I used to buy old glass bulbs at goodwills and clean them out for recycle...Happy Holidays Tammy

Hi Tammy,

It's a gorgeous morning here in Cali! The sky is the most beatiful shade of blue, and the green trees so beautiful against the sky!

I also ejoyed seeing the moon yesterday when my hubby and I were driving back from outta town, it was just coming up over the horizon! It was so big, beautiful and full of color. I told my hubby look at the moon! isn't beautiful... and hey I can really see the man in the moon, and he had the biggest smile on his face!
He said yep...too bad you don't have your camera with you. ...Yep too bad...

I think it's so cool though, that we were both enjoying the same moon although we were thousands of miles away from each other!

Have a beautiful day!!
Sherri:)

Hi there! Tell your boys that you'll pay 10 cents for every GOOD snowflake they make but that you'll only pay for the pretty ones. I just bet that once they get going they are going to have a good time, especially if you sit down with them! Make some cocoa, grab the scissors and have fun!

PS: LOVE your holiday header! So sweet!
