Friday Out and About in Kuwait

Wow! Where does the time go? The good news is that we are now officially on Winter Break until January 4th. Woo-hoo!

It's been very windy the past couple of days and yesterday we had rain. The wind is howling as it swirls and twirls everything in its path. We went today to the Radisson SAS Blu Hotel for a Christmas Bazaar. There were two tables with only handpainted and embellished items so that's where I purchased lots of goodies.

Painted and decoupaged boxes.

Snowpeople painted on shiny red ornaments. These only cost about .75 cents each. I bought four and the girl gave me one free.

A wooden box that is varnished and embellished with pinecones, greenery and ribbon. I should have bought all of these as they were only $3 each.

Aren't these holiday sticks the cutest? Made with skewers, tongue depressors and then all dressed up.

Handpainted candles.

And for myself, I bought this handpainted clay pot.

The weather is looking very iffy outside. Zack has a scrimmage game in an hour so we we will be off to the ballfield very soon. Hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday. Peace, blessings and joy are wished for one and all this holiday season. Tammy

Good Morning Tammy!!!!
Before I'm officially out celebrating for the holidays, I wanted to single you out and wish you a VERY Merry Christmas to you and the boys.
You are on my "thankful list" and I just want you to know how special you are to me.
Even though I may not have those extra 2 minutes to leave you a comment sometimes, know that I am here everyday to check on you...everyday! I am soooo humbled as you have left a comment on EVERY one of my posts...for that I am soooo grateful. Don't ever think that I haven't noticed!!! :)
Thank you for being a part of my world...even if you are waaay away. You make this big place seem so small and cozy. Thank you for ALL of your sweet words and inspiration...I appreciate them (& you) more than you know.
So back to this post, I love all of your Christmas goodies and I hope that you enjoy your break. Spend some fun quality time with the boys and rejuvenate that beautiful soul of yours!!!!

Hi Tammy,

I always love reading your updates. You certainly found some delightful items and so reasonably priced! I think those prices are unheard of here at craft bazaars.

Here our weather is pretty normal December though a bit more mild than usual with some highs in the 40's. It has turned off cooler again and they say we might get some snow tonight, but only a little - less than an inch. I'm hoping for a good snowstorm before or around Christmas, as we're off now for 2 weeks until January 4th. But... I'm hoping it occurs when we don't have to drive, since one of our daughters from Canada is coming down Sunday night for a few days and is returning home on Christmas Eve.

We're getting used to green Christmases here though, as it doesn't snow very much in this part of Illinois.

I hope you have a really great weekend!! :)

Hi Tammy!

Thanks for popping by my little blog, and YES the homemade toffee really is that easy. Easier than fudge!

I love Christmas bazaars, and this one looks like it was a lot of fun! :)

Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend,

Boy, do I miss holiday bazaars with you. You look fantastic in the picuture. I just love the things you bought, especially the snowman ornaments and the clay pot. REALLY nice things that are getting made this year. I am sure it was a nice way to spend the day.

Hope the weather behaved long enough for Zack to get through his game. I REALLY hope the rain yesterday did not create havoc at home. (I have my fingers crossed).

We are officially on Christmas break from school. No alarm clock for 2 weeks!!! YEA!!

Enjoy your time off. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Love,
Renee

Hi Tammy,
Thanks for writing me back when I commented about my son going to Jordan. I'm catching up on some of your past posts, and now I've found up how you came to be in Kuwait. A wonderful story. I've enjoyed all your photos, how wonderful that you've been able to travel to so many places that I've just read about. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Blessings,

Tammy, you sound really busy before the holiday. ENJOY IT ALL!! There is nothing as special (and as hectic) as Christmas with younger children, but we all have to enjoy that while we can cuz it will be gone in the flash of an eye. My children are all older so some of the magic has gone, but I am glad that my youngest is still "only" 12, and she loves all there is about Xmas, the baking, the shopping, wrapping presents, the works!! Thank goodness for her. I love the things you bought at the bazaar, especiall the hand painted snowmen ornaments. I have some Very similar that we bought at our school bazaar a few years ago and they proudly get hung on the tree every year. You sound much like me, loving all the activit before thre 25th, if not the cleaning so much (who does love that part) but all the rest. I'm thinking of you from way over here, while I go about the same activities as you, and enjoying it! ~~ Debby
