Friday

You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It's just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.
Paul Coelho

Today we had perfect weather for an early morning walk.

With rock collecting along the way.

For lunch I made olive bread using a recipe I wrote down some time back (unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from).
1-1/2 cups olives; 2 TBS olive oil; 2 cups flour; 1 TBS sugar; 2 eggs; 1/2 cup milk; 3 tsps baking powder; dash of salt.  Mix and bake in greased pan.
It was delicious with homemade cream of tomato soup.
Saute 1 chopped onion in 2 TBS of olive oil; season with vege extract powder, New Orleans seasoning blend, garlic powder, black pepper and curry powder.  Add in 1 can of chopped tomatoes and one chopped carrot.  Simmer til carrots are tender then blend in batches.  Serve with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a sprinkling of paprika.
Days go so fast and night comes so early this time of year.
This was the view from my backdoor around 5 o'clock this evening.
The waxing crescent moon.
Hope you are having a fabulous Friday!

I think I'll try your olive bread recipe. Sounds great. Our weather is much cooler now too. Yesterday was a beautiful cloudly day in the 70s.

It sounds like another beautiful day. We are actually chilly here, this morning it was 59 when I took my son to the bus stop. I loved it, hugs to you sweet Tammy,

Yes, I love this kind of weather we are having too.
Your rock covered with yarn is just lovely.
The olive bread looks delicious. What temp do you bake it at? and for how long? Looks like you use all kinds of olives, black and green. I would love to make this for Thanksgiving when we go to my daughters for the weekend.

Lovely pictures of your walk and that delicious food you cook.
As we are moving towards the longest day I walked home at 9pm last night in the light - love that about this time of the year.

Enjoy your Saturday.

What a great pallet. I enjoyed watching the waxing moon last evening as well. It was HUGE here and so clear outside. Like she was on a stage giving a great performance! Have a wonderful weekend!!
