Fall Bazaar

Over the weekend The Kuwait Textile Arts Association held its annual Fall Bazaar at the Sadu House.

I didn't take a lot of pictures or buy very much but I did want to make sure I visited the Salvation Army table.  I was very pleased to hear that they were selling some of the crocheted wreaths and stockings I taught the girls at the shelter to make.  And since the first crochet session was a success, I've been asked to return for another one so will have to choose a few other projects that will be quick, simple and saleable.

Doni is sharing another Christmas Ring Ornament Series on her blog Whiskers & Wool.
So far she's made a Christmas Present Ring Ornament,
and

I will definitely be making some of these for the holidays.
And maybe the girls at the shelter will like them, too.
Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday.

What a fantastic ornate door!! great goodies inside to see, too. I love those bells and stars. speaking of stars, thanks for the link to Whiskers and Wools ring ornaments. Those look like great projects to sit and do while watching some t.v at night.

How wonderful that you were able to see the items you taught them to make actually selling. I'm sure you will select new projects that are just as successful.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Tammy, this is great that you helped those girls to earn for living with the mean of such beautiful craft! Keep it up! You really inspire me to do something like this here too.
By the way, are those Indian Punjabi Juttis on the table? Is that Indian stuff?)so cool, because we have the same in our shops)
Take care! Anna

Tammy dear, how lovely that you share your amazing crochet skills....and that the girls are now able to market their own creations.

This was a fun, very colorful bazaar - like the wall hangings and the slippers!

Hope your week is going well - thanks for the recent comments. Yes, got to catch Venice again before the waters get higher.....although they are working on the dam system, similar to the Thames River in London, which should help with the flooding hopefully. What a beautiful, historic city - it must be saved for posterity.

Hugs, Mary

What a great post all round, Tammy! You look great standing beside that beautifully ornate door. I LOVE that pic with the bells and those slip-on shoes look great. I love slip-on shoes and have practically worn through the only pair of clog-type I have. It's so wonderful that the Salvo's table were doing well and selling the items that you taught. Well done ~ xo
