Pink Saturday Memories, Treats and Joy

Hope everyone is having a super Saturday. Zack hasn't been feeling well since Thursday evening; missed his baseball game yesterday morning; and I'm doing everything I can to try and get him better without going to the doctor. He has a sore throat, fever off and on, dizziness and some vomiting due to headaches. If he's not better by tomorrow, then I guess I'll have to take him in. We leave Wednesday for Sri Lanka so he needs to be all better by then. Today I've just been cleaning and doing some organizing. I came across this pretty birthday card my mom sent me 2 years ago.

She doesn't ever just send a signed card. There's always some article or cartoon or little bits that she's cut from something else and glued inside.

A friend from Amsterdam came in last nite and brought this lovely box of chocolates and a tin of traditional wafers from Holland. Both packages are just so pretty. Love the blue and white tin.

And this is Jingles! You've all met her many times before. Today she has something very special to share with you!

Something that she loves so very much!

Something that brings her such joy.

Such pleasure!

It's her pink comb! I bought this years ago at Meijers in Michigan. If Jingles is across the room and I just hold it up for her to see, she comes running. Sometimes she meows and meows and leads me into the bathroom so that I can get it for her.

Afterwards, she is so relaxed that its time for a nap!

Speaking of naps, it is actually bedtime around here, so off I go! Have a great day! Peace & blessings, Tammy

I like your cat, Tammy. She looks so comfy and relaxed. Also, the treats from Holland looked yummy. And your card from you mom ... how lovely.... I keep special cards, too.

Hopefully, Zack will be back on the road to recovery before you travel. I'm sure with being regular sick and then having his migraines on top of it isn't very fun. You are your mother's daughter for sure. Leave it to you to spice up and add a personal touch to everything you make or do.
How cute that Jingles loves her comb. She is definately quirky but in a nice way and if that's all she loves to be spoiled with, then your lucky and she's lucky that you comb her to make her happy. Ok, I think I need to go to sleep as it seems my sentences are rambling....yikes.

Sending get well wishes for Zack ~ he must really be under the weather to have missed the game :( ~ How cute that your kitty can be lured just by picking up the comb!! So nice your Mom add that "extra" touches to add cheer to your card ~ Judi

Sure hope Zack is feeling better soon, it's always a bit scary when our kids get so sick.

That is so cute that Jingles loves to get brushed! My dog Ginger loves a good brushing too.

Hope your son is better soon! Jingles reminds me of my first orange tabby cat, AJ. He also loved to be combed.

Have a wonderful week!

I am sending get well wishes to your son and hope he is feeling all better in time for your trip.
Love that birthday card from your mom. I'm so glad that I kept a lot of letters and cards from my mom. Now that she is gone, they are even more precious to me.
That is such a cute story about Jingles. I have never had a cat, but Jingles sounds like a well groomed little lady.

Oh Tammy....it's me again!!!!

Although I wished you MANY wishes of thoughtfulness, your wish today was supposed to be THANKFULNESS!!!! (I had already used thoughtfulness previously! haha)

So I after sleeping on it, I'm wishing you much "thankfulness" as you have wonderful friends and family who love you very much!!!!

Okay...whew...glad I caught that one! ;)

While I'm here, is Zack feeling any better???
{fingers crossed}

Sorry to hear that Zack is not feeling well. Omar and I have both been a bit off this past week with very little energy. Hopefully, he will be feeling better by Wednesday. Reminds me of the year that Omar had a massive ear infection two weeks before se flew home for the summer. I remember steroid shots in the butt for 5 days in a row. OUCH!! Glad you got a bit of the cleaning done. Try to keep it all together until Wednesday.
Tell Jingles that she is lovely. LOVE the pink comb!!

Love,
Renee
