Tidbits on Tuesday

Watching a sunrise, we open ourselves up to the beauty that nature creates, knowing it will never repeat itself just like this again. ~ Jake Rajs

The past several days here have been warm and sunny. We didn't have much of a winter and we've already had temperatures up in the 80's this week. Yikes! Wonder what that means for the summer months which are already way too hot.

The trees are God's great alphabet:
With them He writes in shining green
Across the world His thoughts serene.

~Leonora Speyer

It was morning; through the high window I saw the pure, bright blue of the sky as it hovered cheerfully over the long roofs of the neighboring houses. It too seemed full of joy, as if it had special plans, and had put on its finest clothes for the occasion.
Herman Hesse

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.
(e. e. cummings)

This old wall can be found just around the corner from us. I love that the family living there kept it up even though a new house was built just behind it.

Know where to find the sunrise
and sunset times and note how the sky
looks at those times, at least once.
(Marilyn vos Savant)

I love quotations and have collected so many. At least its a collection that doesn't take up a lot of space and won't collect dust. Speaking of which, I think I should go chase some dust bunnies now. Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday. Peace & blessings, Tammy

Beautiful quotes, Tammy. :) I always enjoy your photos and thoughts.

80 degrees looks really enticing to me right now though... it's so bitter cold here even though the sun is shining. I took my lunchtime walk today and figured I'd be okay without my snowboots today, but I was wrong. I had to really watch my footing in my walking shoes on the ice and snow covered paths.

Thankfully, one way or another, warm weather will be coming for us, as we've decided to travel to Florida over daughter's spring break. We're driving, which means a day and a half, but we'll have 4 days once there. It's not that warm there right now, but in 6 weeks time, it should be wonderful and even if not, it will be warmer than here in Illinois. :)

Hope your week is going well.
Linda ♥

Hi Tammy! I do so enjoy your pictures for your view of the world!! And the quotes are wonderful too!

I am still scrapping away with the wallpaper removal. I don't have alot of time to just "get er done" so it is a few hours here and there. Worked on it yesterday again and of course it got the back started again- so will just have to take it easy for a couple of days and find my tennis ball! (I think Jesse dog may have took it !!) I am about 1/2 way through with the stripping part and then will have to texture and paint so it is a big project for me! I do so look forward to a new room one of these days!

Your quotes and pictures are wonderful, as always. I don't want your 80 degree temps, but we are too cold here for my liking. Yesterday, the AM temps were below freezing. Unusual for San Antonio. The afternoons are nice, as after a few weeks of rain, I won't be complaining about seeing the sun anytime soon.
Hope you are having a good one!!

Love,
Renee
