Monday, Monday

Remember that song by the Mamas and the Papas?

Monday, Monday, can't trust that day,
Monday, Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way.
Oh Monday mornin you gave me no warnin of what was to be
Oh Monday, Monday, how could you leave and not take me ....

This Monday morning found me taking Zack to the doctor.

We were number 26 (a good number as my birthday is February 26th and Zack's is October 26th). Thankfully the first 24 patients had been there much earlier so our wait wasn't long at all. I kept him home yesterday thinking the extra day of rest would help, but it didn't work out that way. His left lymph node is totally swollen and filled with yucky stuff. Now he is taking antibiotic every 12 hours and a throat spray 3 times a day.

He missed his baseball game on Friday (his team lost big time) and baseball practice this afternoon. (Isn't this little baseball cup cute? My mom saved it for me from umpty-ump years ago. I forget how she got it -- a freebie in clothes detergent or something. The bottom doesn't have a date but it was made in Dayton OH.) The doctor says Zack should stay home tomorrow too which means he'll miss his class field trip. He just received an award last week at school for perfect attendance. So much for that.

He's drinking tea to help soothe his throat and having soup or soft foods as it is hard to swallow.

I haven't been sleeping well the past couple of nites so feeling extra tired today. When I got home from school just basically vegged, rolled balls of yarn for a new crochet project even though I haven't finished so many others I've started.

Think I will definitely go to bed early. Tomorrow afternoon I must pack as we leave right after school on Wednesday for the airport.

Every other day (every other day), every other day
Every other day of the week is fine yeah

Hope you are having a fabulous day! Peace & blessings, Tammy

Awe Tammy, I hope Zack is feeling better before ya'll leave for your big trip!

Well, Happy Birthday Month, Day 22. Hopefully by taking him to the doctor and getting him on antibiotics will do a world of good for him.

Sorry he has to miss his field trip and his perfect attendance record. And, I bet his baseball team is missing their star player. Poor Zack.

My Birthday wish for you today is Encouragement. (for you and for Zack)
Everything will work out, it always does~

My Dear Tammy,
so sorry to hear poor little Zack is sick: perhaps he has a strep throat? When my daughter was in primary school she used to get that all the time and had to be on antibiotics week in week out.
I'm sure that he will recover in no time at all so his team won't have to miss him for long and his school attendance records won't suffer that much for missing only a few days.
Hugs and happy birthday month day 22 - only 4 days left before the big day!!
rita.

Tell Zack that his aunt sends her love and hopes he is better soon. I too have not been sleeping well but you probably aren't with so much on your mind...Zack, a trip and work..

Woke up to snow this morning...my yellow cat is out wandering in it for awhile and then he will come and sit on his perch to be let in.

Have a safe and make more memories.

Sure hope Zack gets to feeling better. I'm sure the tea and rest will be helpful.

Mondays are my least favorite days of the week. It always takes a mountain of energy just to get ready for work.

Too bad that Zack isn't feeling better. Hopefully he'll be ready and healthy by the time you guys travel. Maybe he felt a little better knowing that his team was "lost" without him. I'm just lovin the little treasures that you keep sharing with us that your mom saved for you. Are they something you will pass down eventually?
It's a good idea to get your rest before you travel. You'll need all your energy as the flight is long.
My wish for you today is "good weather" and that you'll have it by the time you travel.

Ouch! I was hoping Zack would bounce back and not have to go to the doctor. I hope he has enough time for the antibiotics to kick in before you leave tomorrow.
I loved seeing Zack in his Phillies uniform. Brings back some wonderful memories of that team, and the wonderful coach and assistant that worked with the team... HA!
Hope you have a chance to rest a bit before leaving. Maybe a few days away from the daily grind will help with the sleeping troubles. I would tell you not to pack too much, but I know you too well to think for a minute that you will overpack. He, he!!

Have a great time, and I will look forward to hearing about it when you get back!!

Love,
Renee
