Happy Day Six and Pink Saturday

Saturday salutations. I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. Today has been filled with cleaning, crafting, and crocheting. It was a perfect day to stay indoors as the sky was gray and this evening has brought cold winds.

The above little gift bag used to be a Triscuit box ... well, it still is, just looks much nicer now, and will be given to a friend with little valentine goodies inside.

I'm enjoying making these little crocheted hearts. So easy to do and I have tons of leftover scraps of yarn that are perfect for small projects.

I feel like I have been out of touch for a couple of days. I am just trying to get caught up!
There is a huge snow storm pounding the mid-atlantic but it is not coming up here thank goodness. This is 2 major storms that have missed us!!
Hope you have a great weekend!!

Hi Tammy,
Your weather sounds like cozy, stay-in weather. We're having rain again and I love it! Your precious crocheted hearts are soooo pretty. So is your reformed Triscuit box ;)

Thank you for posting a comment on my blog! Its always nice to meet a new crafter. I love crochet and have always had a difficult time with knitting. Now that I have retired I have devoted the past few months in learning how to really knit. I am still a beginner but feel I am starting to really get the hang of it. I've bookmarked your blog.. its lovely and I will continue to check it from time to time. Have a nice rest of the weekend! Oh... before I forget... I love the triscuit box... very pretty and clever!

Tammy,
I can't believe what you did with a plain old Triscuit box! It's wonderful. I just love to create unique presentation for gifts, I see you do too. That's why I came up with my muslin gift bag thing. I love to get gifts & the unwrapping is the best part. Can't imagine buying gift bags with matching tags from Target anymore! Plus we're being 'green' right? Love the previous post too, 20 bags of snacks! Girl, in my house that snack is called dinner. Hope your week is amazing. Lisa
PS Do you watch the Super Bowl there?

Tammy,

I love those little crocheted hearts. Perhaps I should take up where I left off. Seems easy enough. It's a beautiful day here is cali. The storm last night blew away all the grunge and left a gorgeous blue sky. Just came back from a walk this morning and getting ready to make Super Bowl junk (not for me)...then I'm headed off to look at sofas...Wish me luck. Have a wonderful week!

smooches,

Your gift bags are just getting more creative and I'm loving the vintage look. It's something I would like to try. I just love stealing your ideas. Glad to see your enjoying your crocheting. Hope that it is bringing peace and relaxation to your day. My wish for you today is serenity. Honestly, I really don't know the meaning, just know that it sounds good...HA! Serene means to be calm and peaceful. Ok, there it is. Knew it meant something like that, just was in a brain fog and couldn't quite come up with the words. Hope you had a good day.

How wonderful to know that you were able to have a day full of crafts, and a bit of cleaning. I have not had a day that quiet in a while now. HA! Your crafts are wonderful. A Triscuit box has never looked so good. Wish I was there to spoil you and Melissa with a few Valentines goodies. I know you will be bringing many smiles to faces with your craftiness and kind gifts!!

Love ya,
Renee
