Rearranging

Yusef had to be at school by 7:15 a.m. this morning to take the SAT.
That meant a healthy breakfast was in order and then we were out the door bright and early.
Once back home, I decided I needed to do some cleaning.
The pencil sketch of my father-in-law has been propped up in a chair for weeks now, so it was time to find a spot for it.
As it often happens, cleaning led to rearranging which then turned into an all day affair.
Jingles, of course, was not phased by any of it.
This is the only rearranging she did the whole day.
That pink yarn she's sitting on was used to make a little gift bag for baby soap.
The teddy bear pattern is from Leah's blog, Why Didn't Anyone Tell Me?
I'm gonna take a cue from Jingles and find a nice, comfy place to rest my head now.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Jingles really knows how to do housework (lol)
it sounds like a domestic kind of a day - feathering your nest - which is a beautiful nest I might add :)

Ha! Jingles is a very clever girl! :o)))))) She is as clever as my Maxwell is. (Nina is more the restless type. But she's able to be lazy, too.) I had to laugh loudly when I read "cleaning led to rearranging which then turned into an all day affair" - yes, this happens to me very often, too :o))) But now it's time for resting - for you and for me :o)

Tammy I do hope you have a rest on Sunday!!
Tidying up always seems to lead from one thing to another and another!
Dear Jingles quite oblivious to happenings around her it seems - I think we should all take a leaf from her book occasionally de-stress and relax!!!
Enjoy your Sunday.

Gosh the SAT's are brutal. I am so glad that is over for at least one of my sons. Your boy is going to be tired that is for sure. Jingles has the right idea, rest and relaxation.

Dearest Tammy,

You arranged the pencil sketch and other things very well. I know what you are talking about. Such jobs can eat up the day! But the end result is great and learn from Jingles indeed. They show us how to enjoy life and learn to relax. The soap bags you made for the baby gift look precious. Great idea and always welcome. Even for use between bed-linens they work great.

I did a bunch of cleaning and re-arranging today, too. We got the halloween decorations out and while the guys did the outside, I did the inside. Now I a pooped.
Have a great relaxing time in your tidy house ;-)

I have the same thing I have to do. I bought a new picture and have yet to hang it. But that will entail moving and rearranging. I am not up for that right now...LOL I have found my comfy seat instead like Jingles. Kit

I totally think Jingles has the correct idea..rest when you can..dust when you must..do you ever wonder why they grow up so quickly..they become young men so quickly! Happy Birthday!

Cats just know how to relax, don't they. Just don't move her chair. Time for you to relax, too. Diane

Ahhh! Jingles has got the right idea. I know what you mean. I put a few fall decorations out and had to dust, then the rearranging and finally did a thorough cleaning. Felt good, but a few minutes turned into a whole day.
I didn't know you could still get Johnson's baby soap. I used to love the smell.
Oatmeal...a good way to start the day. Hope your son did well on the SAT. I remember those days.

I hope he did great on the S.A.T. test. I'm sure he did....your boys look VERY smart! It seems other children in other countries take education more seriously than many here. I love learning and always have but then we were poor and I didn't really have anything else to do. School was my social life and homework was my life at home but I always loved it. I love figuring things out so math and science were always my cup of tea. Plus, I love to read which goes hand in hand.
I clean just like you! LOL! As long as I have to clean I need to make it interesting so the re-arranging is my reward and the "fun" part....although I must admit I love a clean home but I can't keep up anymore....not if I ever want to sit down and enjoy myself! LOL! Hope you had a great weekend too.
