Happy Mail

A couple of weeks ago I won a giveaway hosted by Helen Philipps.
And today her sweetly wrapped package arrived.
A lovely little tag and pretty scissor keep with lavender blue handled scissors.
Such wonderful handmade gifts.
Thank you so much Helen!

Royal Mail is much quicker than First Class US Postal Service mail.
15 days versus 33 days.
Today I also received a fantastic book from Pam of Treasures-n-Textures.
She emailed at the end of August to say that she had thought of me right away when she saw this book in a thrift store.  So she picked it up and mailed it.
Thanks, Pam, for being so very thoughtful and kind.
It's been so much fun looking through it.

With my new book and scissors, I'm ready to start crafting.

Hope you are having a happy day.

Dearest Tammy,

Congrats to such lovely mail! One can never tell about delivery time required. Just did ship silver jewelry from my boutique to Moscow, Express and that meant 11 days.
Hugs to you and enjoy your great crocheting book.

Hi Tammy,

How nice to get fun mail! I also see that zucchini dish below... oh, that sounds good. You've been having very hot weather.. we finally just got some the last few days. I'm afraid global warming prevented us from having the hot days this past summer - guess that's not a problem for you!

Have a good week,
Sharon

Oh how fun!!!!! You deserve it starting back to school and all. I adore Helen and anything she touches turns into something precious and so pretty I can't stand it! The woman has "the gift" and she is a published artist too! I call anyone that can create beauty with their own hands artists. Helen does crochet and quilting and cross stitch to die for!
The book looks yummy! Keep us informed as to what your first project from it will be...how exciting! I'm SO happy for you and isn't it cool to get Royal Mail? The first time I got Royal Mail I felt like the Queen herself! Still do actually! LOL!

Fun to get wonderful mail, isn't it? I guess you probably will get the camomile I mailed to you. I sent it around the middle of June. It's probably powder now. Diane

It is so nice that you have received some happy mail to brighten your day. I too have received a couple of packages that I would call happy mail but have not shared yet. I thought I would catch up with some blog reading and read a few posts back to catch up with you. Have a great week.

It's lovely to read about so many kind people when the news is full of gloom.
The book looks good, we'll be seeing loads of variations on the granny sqaure soon no doubt.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one whose package to you never ever arrived and to think that all I sent was a cookie cutter and other little items - wonder why someone would have taken those?

Anyway - I'm glad you enjoyed your packages. I love receiving packages at our house even when they're not for me (like this time of year when the Christmas and Birthday presents that I've ordered are arriving regularly) ;)

Those were lovely gifts you just received. I have just started my first crochet blanket. It's a granny square, actually it's just one big granny square. I'm really enjoying it. I can see how crochet can easily become an addiction..

Congrats on your win Tammy-- did it feel a little bit like Christmas when your package arrived?? I'm sure that you can put to good use just about any crafting notions-- I think there is nothing you can't do!!
