Tea After Walking

I'm joining Kimmie at Art in Red Wagons today for tea.  These cashew biscuits were given to us by one of hubby's employees who just returned from India.  They are like sugar cookies but flavored with rosewater and topped with roasted cashews.
Along with the cashew biscuits, I'm having ginger tea we bought while on one of our trips to Sri Lanka where we took a tour of the Glenloch Tea Factory.
This morning there was a clap of loud thunder and rumbling just after 6 am but only about 10 raindrops on the windshield while on the way to school.  Rain in May would be rather strange indeed.  Hubby and I were able to walk this afternoon.  It was warm and just a tiny bit humid.  There aren't many flowers to see anymore, except those that grow wild.
That's about it around here.  It's already time to call it a night.  My how time just ticks away.

Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

The cookies made with rosewater sound good with your tea. I used to make rosewater but never put it in a recipe. Happy tea day.

your cookies sound so exotic - and delicious!!!
How fun that must have been to tour a tea factory! It must be very fresh too since you bought it as directly as possible!

Happy Tuesday Tammy!

You are having an "international" tea this week. Just the thought of those biscuits makes my mouth water. We have cooled down to the 90's this week but 100s are coming this weekend.

I can only imagine living in your world, where a trip to a Sri Lanka tea factory seems as simple as sitting at your dining room table sipping tea and munching on rosewater infused cashew biscuits. Your posts are always such fun. The only one who seems to be even happier and equally well adjusted is Jingles!

Those cookies sound yummy...you know how I LOVE cookies/biscuits. I've been drinking ginger peach green tea in the evenings when I read and/or crochet. I didn't walk to day..worked outside but my pedometer had almost 7,000 steps so I don't feel too bad. Your wild flowers are gorgeous! I just ate supper and it's 8:45 p.m.....long day! Enjoy your Wednesday tomorrow!

Dearest Tammy,

You are lucky for tasting those yummy Indian sweets, they're the best. Also ginger tea is excellent and in Indonesia we drank it a lot. Good for your stomach too, for digestion and even to ward off motion sickness. Guess that Asian people in general know a lot more about the healing powers of teas and spices.
Enjoy the remainder of the week and sending you love. By the way, I love your new blog design.

Delicious biscuits and ginger tea, sound just right.
We have rain, rain, and more rain here at the moment, not so good for walking.
The white flower looks like 'Datura', only grown in botanical gardens and by clever gardeners here.
Hugs and smiles, Angela.x

Love walking. I'm back to my daily routine with that which varies between 2 1/2 - 3 miles at lunchtime (instead of eating) and I love and crave that time.

Hope you have a great remainder of the week!

Tammy, I love your photos! Can't wait to come back later in the day and peruse some more. I absolutely love tea, and my criteria for judging any baked goods is how well they'd go with a cup of tea. Those cashew biscuits definitely belong on my tea table.
