We've had strange weather for May. It started off with dust-filled days that have now turned to clouds and rumbling in the morning skies. More craziness ensued when the electricity went out at school around 9 a.m. Rumor is that a transformer was hit by lightning. Hard to know what really happened but since the temperature outside was around 100 degrees, you can imagine what it was starting to feel like inside. Students were dismissed by 11:30 am. Electricity came back on around 1:45 pm, but it certainly threw the whole day off. My entire job is reliant on a computer and internet access.
Needless to say, I didn't accomplish a lot today -- at school or at home. Some days are just like that.
Hope yours is a good one!

Sure is too hot to lose electricity. Hope you are able to catch up without too much trouble.
Strange day here as well..windy, gusting winds, cooler but sunny..good day to garden in a sheltered spot.🌺
Reminds me of the days near the end of school (late May) and it would be hot at school and hot at home... no a/c at either place. :)
Nice to see you at my place today Tammy. :)
It's been rumbling all around us for 2 days. Just a bit of rain is all. It's always windy here on the third coast, but right now it is calm. Calm before the storm??? Love your photos.
There are so many days that we just can't help what happens to us. Glad you had a bit of a break. I will not tell you what happens on Idol, I am sad Elyse got voted off two weeks ago, none the less it is a perfect show to crochet to.
Happy Weekend, I knows yours starts soon.

Its days like this that remind us how wonderful our other days are. Somehow you will get it all done and get caught up. B.R.E.A.T.H.E...
Me either...glad I'm not the only one! Take care and tomorrow is only a day away!
100 degrees already ... wow ...and without electricity. Had to be most uncomfortable. Glad everything back to normal.
Oh my... I can just imagine how fast everyone wanted out of there! Your photo collage is wonderful Tammy, I hope that you are enjoying a nice cool night. t.xoxo
It does seem like when something happens like that it throws everything off. Maybe tomorrow will be better for you - I hope so. Diane
Dearest Tammy,
Not a day you had planned for or wished for! But such days also do end and somehow we manage to cover them.
Enjoy your week's ending.
Love to you,
Mariette
Dear Tammy

Tomorrow's a new day with new challenges too no doubt!

Hi Tammy...what a weird day! Love the bird images.
Sorry to hear your day went a little crazy. We are having beautiful weather here. Baby geese in the yard, I counted 4 families. I took Sadie for her walk already and I think I will go sit on the deck and enjoy the sunshine.
Weather always has it's way........no matter what. Hope you have a better day tomorrow!
Tomorrow will be another (better) day.

I can hardly imagine it being so hot, Tammy! It's been so cold over here! Hope you are catching up now....as you say, some days are just like that and you have to just go with the flow.
Wishing you a happy weekend.

The weather promises to be warm and sunny here this weekend. I am looking forward to enjoying it after all the rain we've been having.
Isn't it amazing what all we can not do when we do not have electricity?? Glad it didn't stay off for too too long.
Wishing you a very happy weekend Tammy!

Thankfully, we're not in the midst of our summer but, yesterday, we were without electricity for over two hours. It's amazing how much we take it for granted...I missed not being able to get on the computer at any given time and it was only two hours. LOL I hope you didn't swelter too much in the heat.
Dear Tammy
In Greece we cook two recipes. The one with meat and one without. The recipe without, simply replace the meat with rice or vegetables into small pieces. (Peas, aubergines, carrots, zucchini). This recipe say "orphan" stuffed. (Orphan calls somebody who the parents have died)
You can cook in "orphaned" ..
Have a nice
