More dust! Another storm rolled in around noontime. The house down the street is hidden in the haze. My balcony is covered in a layer of fine red powder. And my poor geraniums are suffocating from it all.
You will find me here in my favorite spot surrounded by supplies, yarn and my laptop, catching up on blog reading, making stuff and forgetting about what's going on out there.
And if that's what I have to do the whole weekend, so be it.
Hope your day is a good one.

This reminds me of the harsh weather we had last year, here in Texas. I know how miserable it can be for every thing. What a wonderful choice to forget the outside world!
Oh Tammy, your weather outside looks horrible. I´m so sorry for you! But at least you can make yourself comfortable on your beautiful sofa and do some nice crocheting. We have lots of sunshine here at the moment and it is too hot for us to go outside. Maybe, I can send a bit of our sunshine over to your place!
Take care! Barbina
More dust!!! I understand that you and Jingles stay indoors. I'm happy that you have yarn *smile*.

Hi Tammy,
Your spot looks quite cozy and so much more appealing than that horrible outside picture!
I miss blogging and am trying to get back into the swing of things now that my life has settled down into a better routine. :)
Dear Tammy
I hope to stop the dust. Make patience. Are geraniums need to take them into the house?
Olympia
Oh my goodness Tammy...Even though I've never lived through a sand storm I can imagine they are no fun...Sorry your whole weekend is going to be like that. Enjoy your time in your comfy little spot :-)
Hugs and Kisses,
♥Ana
There's a doozy of a thunderstorm here in the upper Midwest US with 5" of rain predicted and flash flood warnings; maybe we can send some your way!
Tammy
Hi Tammy,
Sounds like a great idea sitting in your comfy chair and doing the things you love.
Do hope the dust storm passes.
Have a great weekend
Hugs

You're smart to take cover and indulge it those things that bring you pleasure!

Oh my! How do you bear it? You are much stronger than me I do believe. But I guess I bear the unrelenting cold days and snow. So I guess it is all relative. I will keep your wonderful frame of mind, next time I complain about my weather. :) Kit
WoW!!! I never could have imagined it that bad there! Wishing you a wonderful time inside curled up doing sometime fun with the ones you love.
That looks like a very cozy little nest Tammy. I think that's a great place for you to be. Diane
Hi Tammy....You have such a positive attitude in the midst of the wretched weather conditions. Good for you. When we lived in Arizona, I complained. A LOT. Ha! Good luck and have fun with your creative projects. Susan
Those dust storms are just awful!!! Definitely stay indoors and crochet. Even Jingles looks weary of the dust. Safe weekend...
You've found the perfect solution for the sandstorms!! ;) blessings ~ tanna
Your little crochet corner looks much like mine..everyone one needs a creative space! Hope the dust settles down..I feel for you and your poor flowers❤
Bring on the sand storms if it means having to stay inside and crochet!!
Have a fab weekend hon,

Hi Tammy,
I'll never complain about English weather again, thank goodness we only get a sprinkling of Sahara dust occaisionally on our cars.
Your cosy corner looks so inviting to sit and create. Have fun!!
Hugs, Angela.
Oh my you are really having a storm there. It must seep into your house some, but I hope not much. I like your new wall hanging!
I would want a sand storm if I could stay in that cozy spot all day and crochet with a nice cup of tea beside me.
Hugs to you,
Meredith
I'm thinking you would have to wear a mask to venture out on the streets in that storm - amazing! I thought at first those were ornamental geraniums, perhaps spray painted for a 'shabby chic' look! Do you hose them off? Will they actually survive these storms Tammy?
Stay cozy indoors while you create.
The NC mountains were socked in by fog much of the trip - and torrential rain on Wed. resulting in street flooding - still had fun though!
Hugs - Mary
wow! I just can't get over all that DUST....crazy!
Thanks for dropping by today,I had fun making the crocheted cozies...can't wait to see your next project!
Those dust storms look terrible! Do people have A/C there so they can leave their windows closed? I hope so! I can't imagine that dust getting in your house. Or even being outside, breathing it in. Your "spot" looks so nice and cozy. :-)
your couch looks soo cozy ! isn't the weather crazy!
well at least it's the weekend and you don't HAVE to go out in it .... unless you run out of milk or eggs (lol) ... enjoy your weekend - and forget all about what's happening outside!
Wow! It's still so dusty over by you! It's clear here but getting extremely hot now! Thank you so much Tammy, for your kind thoughts on my blog. It is so important for us to make those lifestyle changes and keep healthy.

I'd be staying indoors too with that terrible dust storm outside. My lungs felt clogged up just looking at the photos. I absolutely adore you cosy spot....just perfect!
What a cozy little niche you have there. Your afghan there is so pretty...is that like a giant granny square? I could curl up there in a heartbeat! You poor geraniums...can you rinse them off after the storm passes? Can you go out in it when it;s like that? Do you have to wear a mask or eye protection? Stay safe and "dust-free"!
Tammy- your cozy little corner looks so inviting-- I'd love to be there right now ( instead of at work!)
The dust storm is impressive--- ugh!
Sending hugs/
Vicki
