Time for Tea

Last month before winter break, we had a Secret Santa exchange at school.  The person I was buying for is a tea drinker, so I made this little cross-stitch piece for her and put it in a green frame (her favorite color).
Though I love trying all sorts of teas, my favorite tea to drink on a daily basis is green tea.  We always have some with our meal when we go to our favorite Japanese restaurant.
Tea is especially good on all these cloudy days we've been having lately.
As the centerpiece of a cherished ritual, it's a talisman against the chill of winter, a respite from the ho-hum routine of the day. (Sarah Engler)

I'm joining Kimmie at Art in Red Wagons for tea today.  Hope you are all having a terrific Tuesday!

P.S. If you get a chance, stop by Mariette's Back to Basics for her international giveaway.

What a sweet and thoughtful gift you gave, Tammy--I'm sure she loved it! I really need to dust off my cross-stitching skills again...when my eyes got worse (bifocals AND reading glasses needed!), I stopped...think maybe I've adjusted now...hopefully!

Love that beautiful sky photo you took--just gorgeous!

Hope you're having a wonderful week, my friend...

We drink mostly green tea too, and indeed green tea is the best drink when eating sushi!

I used to do lots of cross stitch when the girls were very small - I love the portability of it. Your little tea pot is try sweet :)

I love green tea, but it's very hard to make it just right .... I have to get it at a japanese restaurant or my japanese friends house if it's going to taste good :)

your cloudy weather must be quite a switch from the rest of the year .... enjoy!

I adore the way you make counted cross stitch look so easy, but I know how hard it is if you don't count right. I'm also a big fan of green tea! Happy really late at night Tea Tuesday.

I'm not much of a tea drinker but I'm determined to embrace green tea this year. It's SO good for you it's hard to not get excited about it isn't it?

Oh, that turned out so nice. I'm such a tea lover! It's my favorite drink. I prefer it iced, but at this time of year, I like it hot :) I love that photo of your sunrise or sunset :)

It's Earl Grey for me every time, pale straw coloured and without any additives (milk or sugar), so refreshing.
Love your little picture for Secret Santa.

I can only really enjoy tea when it is cold, and I am trying to get warm. We had a cold spell in November and early December, and now it is already humid if you can believe that. I wish it was cold again!!
I love knowing that you are doing a bit of cross stitching again. A woman after my own heart!!

Hope you are having a wonderful day!!

XOXO
