Tea on Tuesday and Blogger Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! Kimmie at Art in Red Wagons is having a snowy tea day in her neck of the woods.  Although our high temperature reached about 60 today, it sure felt nippy out there.
Hubby had a business associate arrive from Jordan with a box of chocolates, each one wrapped  in colorful foil.   I had a few along with my rooibus vanilla tea.  Of course, there aren't many days where I don't have a bit of chocolate.

I've received many emails from bloggers who haven't been able to comment on my blog the past few days.  I checked from my computer at school where we use Internet Explorer and have the same problem.  But at home, where I use Google Chrome, it's not an issue.  Shane from Roses, Lace and Brocante suggested I change my comment settings to pop-up window rather than embedded so I've done that even though I switched from the pop-up window last year because of problems.
It seems that every time blogger wants to update one thing, something else goes wrong.  Brings to mind the old saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it."  Let me know if any of you still have problems.

Hope your day is a good one!

I haven't been able to comment for the last couple of posts either. I hope this one goes thru. Have a great day. :)

Hi Tammy
My friend bought my attention to the fact that my comment weren't even showing on her blog otherwise I wouldn't have known.
Kath from Hillside gave me this info and it put it right.
This is part of her email.

We sorted it out by changing the Comment Form Placement under Comments Settings in blogger to "full page" and it's OK again, but I'm still not able to comment on those Blogs where this is set to "Embedded below post" - apparently that is the issue when using Internet explorer web browser.

Hope this helps

I know BLOGGER is free, but why they changed everything last year is beyond me. I tried, too, to leave you comments (plus several other friends) so wondered what was happening. Makes me think Blogger is up to something again.

Ok, have 4 chocolates and it'll all be better soon!

Oh, and have some for moi.....

Same problem with comments here too. I switched to Chrome and the problem went away immediately - plus everything loads up quicker and it's more friendly. :-)

Have a lovely tea and chocolate day, Tammy and thanks you for the comment on my Fana post. ;-)

I"ve been gone so haven't been commenting on anyone's blog. Seems to be okay now.
Your chocolate sounds good with the tea you're having.
We have been back up into the 80's lately. We flucuate 50 degrees sometimes in one week. Mostly it's been very nice, but still so dry. Happy tea day to you.

YES!!!!!!!!! it worked!

I agree it's so frustrating, I was happy with 'the way things were' too.
I'm not resistant to change so long as it's for the better and as long as it works!!

Did I hear chocolate?!
Our daughter sent exquisite choccies in our Christmas parcel from France - gone in a flash!!!

Jingles looks like he could have sneaked one when you weren't looking!

Hi,
I haven't been able to comment here either this past week. In the time that happened, I officially ended my blog. It will still remain there, as a collection of stories, but I have it all saved into PDFs and printed to be bound into books (8 lengthy volumes) Onto new chapters... new adventures.

I still plan on reading some of my favorite blogs from time to time though. Hope you're having a nice week,
Linda :)

Dearest Tammy,

Yes, I did change to Google Chrome and lots of problems vanished. It is true though with the pop-up window for commenting. That way also the entire page with all its music etc. etc. doesn't need to reload.
My, you got a nice chocolate treat! I love the dark chocolate the most... pure taste of it!
Love to you and stay warm.

I believe the problem lies with Internet Explorer. You see, nowadays, many Blog Hosts have changed over to using the newer HTML5 coding which Internet Explorer doesn't like at all and views it as errors. When my blog is viewed in Internet Explorer, the footer won't load and the blog lists won't expand when the 'Show All' link is pressed. It views totally fine in Chrome, Firefox, Opera and other browsers because they update regularly and accept HTML5 coding. Internet Explorer really needs to get it's act together. I use Firefox or Chrome now without issues.

Those chocolates look so YUMMY! A perfect companion to a cup of tea.

Love,
Serena xo

We too are in the 60s today. People in the cold country roll their eyes when we say it's nippy outside! Glad you solved your blog issues. There seems to be a continued issues with blogger.
Have a great day (or night).

It's 100% about Google Chrome. I just figured that out when I took my laptop away this past weekend. All the old problems were right there. I have gotten use to it now and actually am loving it. Love the new look and sounds here. You are taking me away from a snowie day.

yea! yea! yea!! I hadn't been able to comment either!! Many of the embedded ones wouldn't work for me. So glad to see a pop-up! Thank you! I'd love one of those chocolates right about now. ;) blessings ~ Tanna

Yes, seems like lots of bloggers are having that same issue and are switching to the pop up window. Many blogs looks strange on IE (mine included) so I stopped using it a long time ago.

I was only having problems leaving comments on your blog (and one other gals' blog) when I was using my iPad. But now I'm on the iMac and having no problem at all. Your blog and hers both have music and I think that causes a problem on the iPad for some reason ... otherwise it all seems a.O.K. now ....

The chocolates look yummy - and what a great little side to have with rooibos tea! Your kitty looks quite content to stay indoors today! Happy Tuesday T!

Ya, I too have been getting emails telling me about problems with commenting....and thats no fun, right! But I'm sure they will have it all sorted out in no time now!!

Love your blog look, btw.

Yes, I tried to comment yesterday and wasn't able to. Glad things are working better. At least Jingles doesn't seem too concerned. Isn't it wonderful that now they say we should have a little chocolate each day? Sure takes away some of the guilt. Diane

oooooo Tammy, something good! I think I can leave a comment.

Jingles looks darling and comfy.

Thanks for the info about the blog post on a dollhouse. Going to check it out now.

Take care and hope you have a good Wednesday. Susan

I have never had trouble commenting on your blog. I was switched to something new, have no idea what it is. About two days before that happened however I had trouble finding anything. Did not know where to go to post or edit, but it is okay now. Different for sure.

I have been having a lot of trouble that just started this week. I will wait to see if Blogger gives a helping hand to fix it.....
We are frigid here today with temps in the 20's & high winds. Burrrr....
Have a Great Day!

Happy T day a little late...our youngest son packed up and flew the nest yesterday, so I had little computer time.

Your saying about if it's not broke certainly rings a cord with me...WHY companies feel they need to constantly change things is beyond me and it can be frustrating for sure!

hope you get it fixed
and I also look at chocolate as one of the food groups ;)
