Mona and I met Melissa at a new Indian restaurant today for lunch.
We had the whole restaurant to ourselves so it was quiet and relaxing.
We enjoyed garlic naan, cucumber raita, fish curry, mixed vegetables, chicken tikka masala and beriyani. Delicious!
One of the delights of life is eating with friends, second to that is talking about eating. And, for an unsurpassed double whammy, there is talking about eating while you are eating with friends. (Laurie Colwin 'Home Cooking')
Melissa gave us both a container of homemade cookies so I'm having dessert for dinner.
Sending sweet wishes your way for a wonderful day!

Tammy,
maybe I will never taste all the delicious food you get to try, but my eyes are always full when I look at your beautiful photos!!
I wish you a great start of the year and may it be a magnificent one for you and your family!
Dearest Tammy,
So you celebrate today with cookies...?
Have a great evening and a nice remainder of the week! We talked with my 'Papa' this morning (our time) for his 91st Birthday. We hope he stays as healthy as he is now.
Love to you,
Mariette
What a wonderful meal. I've had a most of those but had not heard of beriyani. I'm sure it is wonderful as well.
You're so blessed to have friends you enjoy being with like that. The cookies look wonderful. Diane
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
Hugs,
Steph ♥

Thanks for the tips on knee surgery. I am going to see what the dr says and recommends then make a decision......I definitely hope for arthroscopic (just being dramatic/ha about the knife)

Hope your day is wonderful and Happy Cake Day to your husband!

Hi Tammy,
Looks delicious, I love Indian food and cook it often at home. I always treat myself to Indian street food when I'm shopping in London, usually followed later by delicious Italian ice cream.
The cookies look yummy!!
Smiles, Angela.
I loved your quote about eating because that is exactly what we did while we were enjoying each others company...lol! I came home to the smell of my more chocolate chip cookies that Muny made and had some for dinner also:)
I love getting to tag along on your lunches!! Always makes me smile. I'm lovin' the new look of your blog, too! blessings ~ tanna
