Lovely Lunch

Creamed spinach with feta and pine nuts on a croissant with vegetable soup.
Dessert
Green tea
A gift
Knitted potholders
My crocheted doilies being put to good use under a bowl
 and a decorative pot.
It's nice to break up the routine of the every day.  Lunch with my friend, Shereen, always feels like an afternoon of pampering.

But every memory of friendship shared, even for a short time, is a treasure, like sunshine and warmth in our lives, like a cool breeze on a humid day, like a shower of rain refreshing the earth. - Author Unknown

Wishing you a wonderful new week filled with special moments.

I should have known better than to read this right now when it's the middle of the day (I don't eat lunch) and I'm hungry. :D That looks so delicious. :)

Such a lovely lunch. I'm glad you had a nice time with your friend.

The comment from another reader about the pot holders being too pretty to use - that's how I feel about a dish cloth that the Mom of Sarah's boyfriend gave me. It's crocheted and I've yet to use it for a dish cloth, because it's just too pretty. So, I use it as a doily instead.

Hope you have a wonderful week.
With many blessings,
Linda

Tammy you are making me hungry with all the pretty sweeties and the lunch. Your crocheted items are so pretty. I use my dish cloths every day. In fact that is the only kind I use. I make them out of cotton so I can wash them in hot water. I just read about Vitamin F (Friends)nothing better for you.

I knew right off that you must have been at Shereen's. I have your doilies all over my house and always manage to find a way to put them to good use.

It's been so long since I visited your blog Miss Tammy ~ so nice to see you still journaling your day to day blessings. Shereen is always such a wonderful hostess and makes such yummy food, too. I love that she served the Kolatches which she and I made last month in honor of Oma. I hope you liked them, too. :-) Drop in to Esther's Attic when time permits... Would love to see you!! Hugs, Sheryll

Tammy, I just wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to take up crochet again. It has been a long time, so I am re-learning slowly. I've been making a project (small and simple) nearly every evening and am learning new stitches and techniques as I go. The hardest part for me is reading a pattern. Ug! Just had to share that and say thank you for being inspiring!
