Instant Inspiration

On December 28th, Lorraine posted a 2011 craft/project recap.  When I saw the boutique bags I immediately grabbed whatever yarn I had close at hand and crocheted one up within an hour's time .  The pattern was originally posted by Sara at Tangled Happy and was really easy to follow.  (Sara's blog is where I finally learned how to crochet a granny square).
My first boutique bag was presented to my friend, Melissa, with a few gifts inside.   I will definitely be making more using different yarns (but think I'll make a smaller flower next time).
Flowers are those little colorful beacons of the sun from which we get sunshine when dark, somber skies blanket our thoughts.  ~Dodinsky

We've had another beautiful day in my corner of the world.  Sending wishes your way for a great new week.

Oh "T" I love it! I always have scads of yarn bits left over and I can't throw anything out so this is just perfect for using up cloth and yearn pieces and making something gorgeous on a quiet evening! Hugs!

Hi Tammy,
What an adorable bag,I love the colours. to think it only takes an hour to make. No excuses about time being too short. I believe we all can be creative however little time we have.
Smiles across the miles...

What a lovely quotation..flowers really do bring a huge amount of pleasure especially when the weather is grey. Love your bag and the crochet flower too, Tammy. (I liked your previous post...we had blue skies here on Sunday as well, it was very cold and very bright!) Have a lovely week.

Darling, darling bag. I went to Lorraine's blog and looked at her projects. Telling my age and all, I made one of those flower ice-cream sundae pieces years ago (like in the late 80s). In fact, I made several of them, until I ran out of sundae glasses. What fun to see others are still making these. I don't feel dated at all (grin).
