Jet lag has its advantages

Waking at 4 am means there are more productive hours in the day. Since cleaning at that time is out of the question, crafting it is!

I tried out an angel pattern I've had for some time.

Granted, it is supposed to be an ornament, but since I used leftover cotton yarn, it turned out to be rather ginormous.

I finished up a trellis scarf started in the States and made two crocheted bracelets to match.

I printed out this doily pattern from Gloria's blog Crochet Galore many months ago. It's called Diane's Doily and last nite was my first time to give it a try.

Again, I probably should have used a different thread or yarn, but made do with what I had on hand. I'm always so happy when I try a new pattern and can actually complete it.

This is another completed project for a special friend. Just a peak as I don't want her to see the whole thing.

I think today I will switch to cross-stitching for a while. Hope your day is productive and creative!

Wishing you much peace and many blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. I have got to tell you I am so in LOVE with this angel. What a beautiful job you did. She is so pretty. I think she would be beautiful pressed and put into a frame on a shelf or mantel by your tree. You could decorate the frame with embellishments of gold. You are so talented sweet friend.

Your Diane Doilly is also beautiful, and I can't wait to see who is on the receiving end of that beautiful project at the end. I hope once she receives it, you will show the complete project.

Wow you sure got a lot done with jet-lag, I can't imagine what you get done when you are rested.

Have a beautiful day sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

hi Tammy,
lOVE THE SCARF AND BRACELET YOU MADE.
i AM SO GOING INTO CREATING WITHDRAWAL! JUST TOO MANY THINGS GOING ON RIGHT NOW.

oops all caps. sorry. =)
regarding blogger changes. I'm with you keep it simple. I did not change to the new blogger. too much to figure out.
But this whole comment change is a mes. Now instead of one button to push to moderate comments, you have to push three or four.
And, while i was not getting spam before, now I am, and they are supposed to be blocking it with this new set up they did not give us a choice about.
Maybe the Lord is just telling me to get off here and do other things. But this is so relaxing to me, other than changes.

Oh, thanks for listening to me rant a bit.

PS sure do appreciate your visits to my place. thank you.
Hope they will jstu go back to how it was.

You certainly have been busy! All are lovely and I think I like them in the larger size. The angel is beautiful. Glad to see the doily worked out, my friend made it also (it's her namesake). Have a wonderful, blessed day. Be back tomorrow.

4am??? No wonder you have gotten so much done.

LOVE that scarf/bracelet, too. Lovely colors.

And now cross-stitch? You go girl. When I was in the mid-west in the Spring, I picked up a great cross-stitch pattern that is of old houses. It's still sitting where I left it. Maybe winter is a good time to start? Anyhow, you've inspired me to at least get out the instructions and look at it! Thanks.......

Cool hugs,
Jan

You are one of the only people I know who could take a horrible thing like jet lag an make something positive out of it. Your crafts are fabulous as always. The angel is beautiful, even if it turned out larger than it should have due to the yarn you used. I am sure they would be a big hit around the holidays. Operation Hope will be on the wonderful recieving end of your handiwork. The necklace and bracelet are fantastic. You are getting really creative with your talents. I know they will make someone very happy. LOVE the colors on the gift for your special friend. I can't wait to see the finished product.
Good luck getting a nap today. Looking forward to seeing the cross stitching that you will put together.
I LOVED hearing Wide Open Spaces on your blog. I remember one time we answered an email that asked what song described us or something that was important to us, and this was mine. It TOTALLY reminds me of Honeoye, as I feel like there is nothing but wide open spaces there. One day I will be there. The song that described you was I Don't Wanna Be by Gavin Degraw. HA! Funny the things that a song can remind you of.

Have a great day, dear!!

Love,
Renee

Oh, all are so pretty! The pretty cloth you made from a pattern at Gloria's looks so much like the cloths I told you about in my email. Yours is beautiful. I hope you brought home a suitcase full of your favorite stateside yarns to use at home. Love the pretty surprise you're crocheting, too.

Great crafts! Your angel in the first picture is exactly like one my grandmother made me when I was little, she put two together and I use it as a little tree topper. Since she is no longer with us, it is one of my most cherished christmas ornament! My heart skipped a beat when I saw yours! Love it :)
