Crochet Crazy

I picked this afghan back up that I've been working on for months and months.

I'm not particularly liking the predictability of the color pattern. Next time, I will mix it up more.

I'm determined to use what I have on hand to create with. I have yarn in every cupboard, drawer, basket, crook and cranny you can imagine.

Dishcloth anyone?

I've made tons of these and there's another one on the hook.

I also tried out a pattern that Gloria from Crochet Galore posted on January 10th.

It's for a mug doily coaster, but as you can see, mine turned out much bigger than a coaster (believe me, images are much bigger than they appear) and although I followed the same pattern, they came out differently. I have a tendency to get lost in a pattern and after a few tries will have an aha moment!

This is a dish towel pattern that I've used before so whipped up another one. It's great to use under a vase or bowl for display.

The cross-stitching was a gift from my friend, Renee, this summer. Thanks Renee!

Hope you are all having a fun-filled weekend. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy! I love seeing what you are crocheting. It is so satisfying to be making something and sometimes dishcloths are just the thing. I know what you mean about yarn everywhere and I would challenge you on who has the most yarn, ha! Have a nice weekend! Twyla

I'm loving the dishcloth you sent ... so soft and especially happy with all the colors. Its my best cloth now. Keeps me smiling! I think the afghan looks very pretty and will be oh so cozy. Thank you for having tried a few of my patterns. I love coaster and smaller doily sizes. The cross stitching is beautiful. Very talented is your friend. Have a lovely weekend and keep enjoying your mornings. Big hug!

Hi Tammy Sweetie...
Oh my gosh I love the color pattern of your afghan sweetie, it is so beautiful. The blue, brown and white color combination with that punch of red. So pretty. I think you will love it once you get it finished.

Oh my gosh, wish I lived next door, I would be coming over for a couple of those dishcloths. They are just the best ever for washing with. I am afraid mine are wearing out. I don't know how you can crochet so fast. Do you ever sleep sweet friend? Don't wear out your little hands, remember we only get one set.

Love the song you are sharing today, as it is so beautiful. Have a gorgeous day sweet friend. I love this post today. You always lighten my heart when I pop over. For me it is like coming home.
Thank you sweet Tammy.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I love to crochet in the cooler months, but I can't follow a pattern to save my life! Actually that goes with just about everything I make, I think it's called a lack of focus. oh well. Anyway your afghan is so pretty and I love your doilies, see there is no way I could follow through with those! Thanks for joining in the giveaway fun, I love it whenever you stop by ~ Theresa

Tammy, I love the colors of your afghan. You are so talented! Those stack of dishcloths are too pretty to use. But I have a couple handmade ones and they are so durable. Thank you so much for pointing out to me about the weird lettering on my latest post. Don't know what happened there. I appreciate it very much. Have a wonderful Sunday tomorrow.

Iwish I could be a fly on the wall in your house to watch those crochet needles flying. HA! You have been busy, and I love knowing that you are enjoying your time so much. I can't imagine the crafting that would get done if you did not have a job to go to next week! Your doilies are wonderful. I love that each one is unique due to the color and weight of the yarn.
How lovely to see my cross stitch in picture!! You know how much I love making things for my girls. I have plans for another one, but it will take longer.
Keep crocheting, my friend!!
Love Renee

I love making and having those dish cloths on hand for using and giving as little gifts. I am doing afghans for two grands this Christmas. My hands and thumbs can't take the grind as well as they used to. It is so great to be able to create. Such a gift. Blessings to you and yours.

Your crochet projects are really cute! I wish I could crochet! My sister learned and does a great job, but I was hyperactive and couldn't sit still long enough to learn...;)

I never crochet dishtowels, I have to try!
I always knit them.
