Happy Flag Day

This shelf in my tv room is my ode to Americana.

It's filled with things I've collected or made over the years.

I love this quilted flag that sits in some type of old window frame of sorts. I bought it in Ohio's Amish country some years ago and brought it back with me. I even bought material, thinking I might try to do something similar, but have never even attempted that project. I don't sew, but I was sure I could work something out.

My dad gave the kids this Radio Flyer wagon many years ago. They have their own assortment of Americana.

Hope you have a great start to your week!

Peace & blessings, Tammy

Tammy thanks for your kind words on my blog today. I feel much better today but still itching even if the hives are receding and fading away. Can't wait to get off of the drugs that I so desperately needed in the ER. I bet your happy to be off for the summer. Daughter and DIL are now officially off too. Any travel plans when you are stateside? Love your Americana collection especially the teddies.

Hi Tammy, Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me at Food As Art. This is my first visit to your blog and I am fascinated! It appears you are an American living overseas, perhaps? I'm just guessing since you alluded to coming to the states shortly and since you have an Americana corner. I like the teddy bear with the flag sweater and your quilted flag. Have a wonderful journey and I look forward to exploring your archives.
Blessings, Beth

It must be very comforting to have some of "home" around your new home ...if any of that makes any sense :-)) It is a gorgeous corner. Happy Flag day!

SALUTE! My flag is flying outside in honor of Flag Day. Sometimes I'm surprised at those that don't bother or don't know.
Happy Day to you so far away with your heart still in the good old USA!

Hugs in red, white, and blue,
Jan
