Mealtime and Magazines

It's not every day that I have a giant chocolate chip cookie for dinner, but I must say, last nite, it was really, really worth it. (Thanks Sheryll!) I shared with the kids and friends at school so now the cookie is all gone.

I find there is nothing better than a good old fashioned tomato sandwich sometimes. And with a tomato sandwich, you just gotta have some chips. Yum!

We are having a dust storm today -- the light, powdery kinda dust that just hangs in the air. I bought a couple of magazines so am going to curl up with those and be inspired. Plus continue to crochet on this baby afghan I started a couple of weeks ago. It's taking longer than expected. I hope that all of you are having a quiet start to your week with time for some craftiness on the side. Peace & blessings, Tammy

Sounds like the perfect day to me (well, without the dust it would be better!) Glad you're making the most of it, anyway!

Your baby afghan is adorable! These things always take longer than we think they will, don't they?!

Hope your day is beautiful!

Tammy eating a cookie for dinner?? That one has to go down in the books to be remembered! HA! Good for you! I am glad you were able to enjoy all the fun of having a huge cookie for dinner, and were able to share the cookie with friends as well. I have not had a tomato sandwich in years, but I still remember how good they were. I know I don't need to ask if you enjoyed it.

Glad to hear you are having a quiet evening. I had a night over the weekend where I sat down and read magazines for a few hours. I can't remember the last time I did that.

Good luck getting the crafts done. I am working on a cross stitch project that has taken me TOO long. I need to finish it so I can can focus on gift making for a few special people I am hoping to see this summer!!!!!!

Have a great day!

Love,
Renee

Your chocolate chip cookie dinner sounds very good to me :-). I also can't wait until my tomatoes are big enough to make into a sandwich.
I just love the colors of the afghan you are making. I hope your dust storm doesn't last too long.

Is that the new issue of cloth paper scissors? My daughter ordered me a subscription for Mother's Day and I've been eagerly looking forward to it. You seem to make the best life even in spite of those ugly sandstorms. Tomato sandwiches - my favorite. That's a perfect lunch. Diane

Hi Tammy,

Glad that you can relax away from the sandstorm with some good magazines and your crochet.
Tomato sandwiches are a favourite of mine, for lunch sometimes too.

I hope that your week is going well.

Tammy, I've had such a great time catching up. Dust when I last visited, dust again! How are the cars able to keep running? (These are the things I think of!) I giggled to myself scrolling backwards with the thought of what a light eater you must be to share one cookie with many students until I saw the "cookie". Too funny! Now that's a cookie! The quilt show was so very interesting. I loved the ones that depicted local scenes. Just beautiful. Always so much to learn! Have a lovely, less dusty week! Elizabeth

I love tomato sandwiches. Just mayo on it. Ernie loves those pringles chips. He planted some tomatoes in the garden, maybe you can have a fresh one from the grabman garden:)
I have been reading some books I got from the library. Joyce Meyers. I like how she tells it like it is. I have been searching for craft ideas on the net.
what kind of cookie? I was just watching the doctors and they said a good dessert is strawberries dipped in dark choc. guess what I will be picking up next time I go shopping?
hugs!
