This is what my dining table looks like when I try to craft.
My friend, Melissa, came over the other day, saw my dining table, declared it tidy and said that I was exaggerating when I stated it was a mess. She saw it when I had everything in neat piles. Now it's just one big pile.
I was inspired last month by the one and only Creative Carmelina. That girl has talent. She posted projects she did with crocheted chains. Simple enough, but it's taken me this long to finally sit down and do something with the idea.
I stayed up late last nite just trying to come up with a little something.
These are my first attempts. I had a problem with smearing the glue so need to sort that out. I guess I have to just be a little more careful. But then again, if it's handmade, does it have to be perfect?
Today I received two nice surprises. Our Middle School Principal went to London for a recruiting fair. I did the prep work for it so he brought back this mug as a thank you. I was just doing my job, but isn't it nice to be appreciated.
He didn't even know that I already have a collection started of these mugs from Starbucks. Some from the States ...
And these are from Jordan, Kuwait and Madrid. Love the colors for Jordan and Madrid.
The second gift was from our Registrar who is from Lebanon. Handmade soaps that are scented with orange blossoms. Divine! I placed them in a bowl of handmade soaps I already have.
Well, I need to go clean off my dining table. I hope that you have a day filled with surprise and delight. Many blessings, Tammy

That beautiful, how nice to have so many beautiful things present and to share, that's what power is all about living life to the full but sharing love, friendship, companionship, there is nothing that is all, and not a little, right?
And those cups are so beautiful I loved, a hug from Argentina, and not missing any opportunity for us to exchange memories of friendship, affection Chany
Hello T!!!
You finally did it! I just love the heart card! and the multicoloured thread changing shades is a lovely touch! Well done, A ++!
It really takes a little glue...if you put too much on it can be messy!
And I love your floral idea with the button in the middle! Thanks for mentioning me!
Ciao bella
creative carmelina
that 'mess' looks like a lot of fun, can I come over and craft with you?
Hi Tammy,
Your table is an inspiration to all of us to 'get on with it'. I love your cards and I love the London mug, I'm of there myself for a couple of days soon.
keep crafting, Hugs Angela.
If we lived closer to each other, I'm sure we'd be knee deep in that pile. And yes, Carmelina is one creative cookie...as you are. Have a good one.

Hihi, your table, Tammy! It's like mine when I get creative :o)) I like your heart- and flower-cards!
Oh, a London-Starbucks-cup! A nice surprise! You know I was in London, too, but this time we haven't been at Starbucks...
And your soap-bowl must smell wonderful with all the darling-soaps!
Lots of hugs, Traude
Tammy amor, I love your creations, not only how you made them, but the sayings that you used...at this time...they truly speak to my heart :) Thank you so much for your lovely visits and comments to my blog...You always make me smile...thank you for being a friend, have a beautiful week amor :) Besos, Rose
ps..your table is nothing, you should see the floor of my studio lol
Hey...my table looks just like that!!!! I keep on telling my husband we could eat at the dinning table if he made me a studio...it is not working...hugs to you my friend. xoxo
I think your table looks perfectly fabulous, Tammy--don't touch a thing!!! (makes me feel better...mine looks just like it!)
Hope you're having a wonderful day!
Your dining room table looks like you have been very busy. HA! Good for you. For the record, I have seen it cleaned off, and even eaten at it.
I love the ideas you are getting from your blogging friends. Those crochet chain cards are ADORABLE!! I love them. What a very simple idea. You really are too creative for me. I stick with what I know, but sincerely admire people like you who are constantly looking for new and creative outlets for yourself.
LOVE the Starbucks mug. I know I got you the one from San Antonio. Did I get you the Kuwait one as well? You have a wonderful collection. Love them!!
Your soap looks amazing. My mom gave me some when she was done, and it instantly made me think of you.
Glad you had a wonderful day full of nice suprises.
Love,
Renee
what a great collection of mugs! As for the dining room table, I love that look! It means creativity is flying! As for dinner, we've eaten many a meal in the family room b/c the dining room was covered with crafty materials!
Hi! What a thoughtful gift and I love your collection!!
Move over!!! I would be right at home at your dining room table, have had mine the exact same way many times. Love the cards and the chain hearts and flower. How great. Thanks for the ideas and for sharing Creative Carmelina. Neat mug collection! Glad that you are recognized for your work and for who you are. Have a wonderful, grace fill day and evening. Hugs!
It sure is nice to be thought of! What a great collection! One you can actually use! :) I always liked those cups...but my cupboards...are stuffed! :)
The heart cards are so cute. I also love your mug collection!
You think your table is a mess, you should see my kitchen and living room. I have been painting the walls. Your cards are darling!!!
My Studio looks a lot like that on most days...Better to be messy and blessed than to be organized and lost. Have a wonderful week! Many Blessing, Deborah
It doesn't matter what your creative space looks like as long as you feel comfortable creating there. I love your new gifts, also, I'm amazed at the pretty things people give you in appreciation. I love the Starbucks mugs but I only have two, Alaska and Baltimore. BUT - I have a Starbucks apron which my daughter sent me when she was a barista in Baltimore. Blessings on your day, Diane
Such fun ideas..thanks tammy...you always inspire me....
Hey Tammy, I too make a huge mess when I'm creating! Your crocheted heart looks great, and you are right...doesn't have to be perfect! Cool mugs...love starbucks, especially the pumpkin scones...yummy! Deb
I love what you did with the crocheted chains and the friendship sentiments!
And your mug collection has given me an idea; I'm going to buy myself a mug when I visit Barcelona next week and start a collection for myself.
Your collection of mugs is great.
Hi there! I have barely made to time to post let alone read other blogs. So I too am catching up. I am so glad I am not the only one who makes a mess on the table when I craft. I love the crochet cards, especially the heart! And you do have a nice collection of mugs!
Your table is nothing but a clutter of love and creativity....ok, I believe you now. What happened??? Did your table throw up when I left?? You just never cease to amaze me with the ideas that you come up with....such simple and thoughtful jesters that will surely brighten up some one's day. Hope it makes you feel better knowing that you are not the only one with a table cluttered with kindness.
The table looks fun, exciting and inviting to me!!! When I glue on tight spots, I use a small paintbrush to have a little better control over where it goes, otherwise, I'm messy :) It might work on your little crochet chains ~ Judi
I only WISH I could leave my craft pile - I craft at my kitchen table, and if I didn't clear it off (and set it all on the stairs - lol) we wouldn't have any place to eat! lol
Hi Tammy, Look how your blog has grown! So many comments, all lovely! I am giggling at your dinning room table. My space looks the same when I'm crafting - that's why I limit myself to my VERY small crafting table. It would be out the door if not! Your new blog header and background are just beautiful! The soaps - love handmade soaps. There is one from Spain that I covet that looks like cut up jell-o pieces inside the soap. My husband is there now but can't find it. Too cute your coffee mug collection. Such an American thing so far from shore! Have a great day. Elizabeth
Hi Tammy,
Your craft table looks like mine and probably a lot of others too. It just happens to us creative types and it is OKAY! lol
Love your collection of starbucks mugs! They are very unique.
Happy Friday!
Blessings~
OK - the picture of your craft table made melaugh out loud! You should see my Sacred Yarn Room when I am on a crafting binge!!
Love all of your collections - and the cards are so lovely! LOVE the starbucks mugs for sure!
