A Week of Crafting

My boss left this on my chair at the end of the day. WOO-HOO! The weekend is here.

BOO-HOO! So is the dust! Throughout this week I have been turning cereal boxes into gift totes ...

and embellishing boxes that in the past I would have just thrown away.

I've also been using crocheted chains and scrapbooking paper to make more teacher cards ...

and simple cards for friends.

If the dust keeps up, this is what I will be doing all weekend long and that's just fine with me.

Hope you are having a crafty, creative, productive day in your little corner of the world. It's bedtime around here. Good nite!

You think we had dust during the day, how about the blanket of dust that came swooping up on us last night and is still here....ugh!! You have just been getting better and better with your craftiness. Those cards are amazing and I bet you could even sell them. I noticed two good looking girls on one and lo' and behold, it was you and me. Thank you!! I've been dying to get one of your creations:)
Its a good thing you dont have baseball anymore eh? I was busy all day yesterday, literally...from work, ate lunch home, left out again at 4 and didn't get home til 12am. Now I have a headache this morning. I wil. be busy again today but not til later so Im gonna try to enjoy my morning eating dust biscuits and dust flavored coffee. I am sure you will get alot of crafting done this weekend for sure.

Good to see that you have been spending your time doing creative things. Your cereal boxes get cuter every time you do them, and the teacher cards are fantastic. I am sure you will blow them all away when you give them out!
You have dust, and we have rain. It has rained tornado style all day long here. I don't even know how much we have gotten, but I know it is a lot. I wish I could say I have plans to be inside this weekend, but lots of running around to do. BOO!!

Hope you have a restful, relaxing weekend.

Love,
Renee

Tammy, I love the boxes and the cards. The crochet chain flowers are terrific!! Your cards will lift the teacher's spirits for sure. Many blessings!

Those are so cute! What a great way to recycle. Any of your friends will be lucky to receive one of those cuties. Your dust storms sound as bad as a snow storm or all of the rain and tornadoes we've been getting. Stay inside and craft!

Hi Tammy, thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind comment!
I love your cereal box totes - what a great idea!! I have stacks of them that I use for book covers and paper mache projects, but now you've given me another fabulous use!
I hope the dust settles, because I can see that you don't need it to keep on creating!! take care, Karin

thank you for the kind comments on my blog. You have a beautiful blog and I hope you enjoy your crafting. Since moving 8 weeks ago I no longer have had the creative time I used to, but hope to get my art space up and comfy again. Happy Sunday!

Thank you for the beautifully crafted grad card, recycled IKEA bag into the best gift wrap, and of course, some of your crocheted ribbons and flower pistons... all are adorable and greatly appreciated, Tammy! We've cut out the neat gift tag that you made with A's name for a future scrapbook.... PS: isn't it nice to have sunshine once more?

Those boxes are wonderful! Looks like we've both been repurposing and using our recycling items in a more useful way. Tammy, I think the boxes look similar to what I did with the paper towel tubes... they were wrapped in scrapbook paper, or pages from an old book and then decorated with bits of trim or ribbon and buttons and jewels. Then poke holes on the sides like you did for the cereal boxes and hang with a ribbon. I used them for little gift boxes too and when I bought the smashed tubes I wasn't thinking about how I would seal it... bummer. So that's how the 'vase' came about! I was saving my cereal boxes for tags but now I will be making some cute totes! Thanks for the inspiration! I love your cards too! Theresa

OMGoodness, cereal boxes!!! What a clever idea. I will be stealing that one Tammy!!! Your cards are adorable, just adorable. Isn't it amazing how fast time goes when you are in the creative mood. I can't imagine living with the dust issue. I would have to wear a face mask. Do you?
Your dining room table looks normal to me.... Isn't that what a dining room table is supposed to look like? It shows that it is being used for a purpose. Who needs a cleaned off table. In my mind, that would be a wasted space!
Keep on creating, it stimulates the mind!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas Tammy!
hugs ♥

Tammy,
Those are gorgeous items!! :)

Here we only have rain, rain and more rain. Unfortunately, the low pressure system that has refused to leave our area for days has brought on a very rare, sinus migraine for me. Haven't had an attack like this in over a year. So... I'm longing for the sunshine and 90 degrees, which it looks like we might finally be seeing shortly. We need that for our pool - to warm up the water temp and for my garden vegetables that crave heat as much as I do. :)

Hope you have a wonderful week. I'm always amazed at the thoughtfulness of your boss - I don't work for anyone like that.

Hi chicky,
I love what you are crafting. I will have to do some of those boxes. and the cards are great. I haven't done anything creavtive in a while.. I need to find some direction. Remember the byetta injections I have been taking for diabetes. they were making me too sick and I stopped taking them. MY gosh, I would rather be fat and feel good, then skinny and feel like crud all the time. I will not be selling that bike after all. I will tell you about things when I see you. soon!
Love ya!
Gwen
