Family Day Friday

Friday is family day around here as it is the only day we are all off at the same time.

Yesterday we headed over to 360 Mall for lunch. The boys chose The Meat Co.

While they got their meat fix, I was quite happy with my Rocca, Walnut & Apple salad ...

and bruschetta with feta and pesto with tomatoes and onions.

I like restaurants where the kitchen area is open. We could see all the prep work being done and our foot being plated.

This is a view of the restaurant from the ground floor where there are plants growing up the walls.

I spied this beautiful bloom and just had to get a close-up. My kids kept telling me I was acting like a tourist taking so many pictures. HA!

This is the main staircase in the middle of the mall. (Wonder where Scarlett and Rhett were hiding?)

I wish whoever cleans these windows would come clean mine!

Cleaning is what I've been doing all day today. And rearranging furniture. That drives my husband crazy! Hope you are all having a super Saturday. Peace & blessings, Tammy

Oh my, what a beautiful place! And your lunch looks like it was very yummy!

Ha-ha, cleaning drives my Hubby crazy too - I prefer to do it when he is not under my feet! :)

Happy Saturday to you and yours, Tammy!!!

Hi, Tammy,
I love the idea of a family day! The restaurant is beautiful, amazing with all of those vines climbing up the wall. Your salad looks yummy. I need to be cleaning, but I keep putting it off!! Keeping my garden watered has become a full time job. Enjoy your weekend, sweet friend~ Vicki

You sure found an interesting place to dine.
The amall looks like a place compared to these around here.
Lazy day. Kids are all busy this weekend. Party out at Bill's daughter. I may go out later.

Still warm here and sunny.

Nice mall and delicious looking lunch!!

My husband hates it when I move furniture around too. Once a room is arranged and he likes the arrangement, there's no reason to change it ever, in his mind! (I haven't mentioned this to him yet, but I would like to tear out the fireplace in our living room - HA! he will NEVER go for that, but I can dream, can't I!)

That is a gorgeous place to dine! It's important to do fun things like that as a family.

Have fun arranging, my hubby hates that too.

Hi Tammy,
Wow, your food looks delicious - I'd like to eat there! Yum, yum. I feel like a tourist myself a lot of times when I'm out taking pictures. I've had our waitress ask me where I was from recently and I was only 15 miles from home (i think I disappointed her!).

How exciting that you are coming back here to visit! How long will you be here, how many states, will you stop in any other countries and do you have anything special planned? What's your favorite thing to do when you visit back here?

Have a wonderful countdown to end of school and the big trip!
Sharon :-)

Even though I like my meat and potato's, your dishes looked very appetizing. I've never noticed the greenery growing on the outside before. I will have to try it out today.
Elizabeth, Elena, Tonya and I went to the chocolate bar for lunch since it was such a long day. Graduation went really well, and for some they are done. I still have one more to go. We will all be going out tomorrow but will probally choose a different restaurant. Wish me luck. I have the dance for my class tomorrow....YIKES!

Looks like a nice family day together. Family days together (as you know only too well) are a bit different. I had 22 people here for brunch today. Foul, a few egg dishes, and lots of pancakes. I found a new recipe for carrot cake pancakes. YUMMY!!! If you make it this way during your visit to the USA, I will make them for you. They were a BIG hit, and I even had one. Shopping for Sausan and I while all the boys, big and small, went to the pool. I found a NICE soft turquoise purse that is now in it's new home in my closet. YEA!!

Hope you had time to enjoy the day in between all the cleaning and rearranging!!

XOXOXO
Renee

You find the best vegetarian dishes!! That salad and bread looks amazing!
I have that flower at home! it's call "clivia". Did you know the bulb is poisonous? Not good to have around if curious pets or babies around!
Always loving to see your surroundings Tammy! We are tourists through your blog! so keep the photos coming :-)
