The Celebration Continues

Since I was in Sri Lanka for my birthday, a group of friends took me out yesterday to celebrate. I thought we were only going to lunch but they had a surprise in store for me. Can you guess what it was?

As you can see, I was dressed for lunch, not bowling.

I've bowled only maybe 5 times in my life and the last time was probably 4 years ago.

There were 6 of us bowling. The guy who keyed our names into the computer put me twice. I bowled 4th as TUMMY and 7th as TAMMY.

Maybe the extra turn helped because the biggest surprise of all was that I won! In fact, I took 1st place as Tammy and 2nd place as Tummy.

The girls decided they MUST have LET me win since it was my birthday. I bowled 4 strikes and three spares so not quite sure they can claim that as their defense.

Melissa wanted you to see how fancy this bowling alley was, chandeliers and all.

We had a fabulous lunch at WagaMama which served Asian-style cuisine.

Chocolate fudge cake included. Yum!

What a fun day it was! "I am wealthy in my friends." Sending sweet wishes your way for a fun-filled day! Blessings, Tammy

What a fun time! I too haven't bowled in a very long time and am sure I wouldn't have a chance to beat anyone! Our bowling alley definitely does NOT have chandeliers!(unless you consider smoke rings blown by the patrons chandeliers!) It's good to have girlfriends who know how to have fun! Theresa

I haven't been bowling since high school. Can't imagine how I'd do. I guess when you're having fun with friends that doesn't matter.

So glad you had such a fun day, and thanks for sharing it on your blog.

Love the new look of your blog.

You're such a sweetie and deserve every blessing!! :) I loved reading about your fun day - I have never bowled much either, but I'm not so good in the real life (on Wii bowling however, I'm fantastic!)

Thanks for sharing your fun day with us. That is indeed a fancy bowling alley with those chandeliers!

Hope you have a wonderful week,
Linda

Wow, bowling! What a fun day you had. How special to have an adventure like that as your birthday continues. I have one more birthday lunch coming up in a week and a half. Let's just say it's birthday season for us. You did so well in bowling and I love the chandeliers in the bowling alley!

I have never wanted to go bowling so much as I do after reading your post. I am looking at all the lovely faces, and I miss you guys all so much. Really, it is a treat for me to see everyone. I am so glad they were able to get together to celebrate wonderful you. It looks like so much fun.
I was reading the names, and said to myself "who in the world is Tummy???" Then I read what you wrote. HA!

So glad you had a nice day. You deserve it all.

Love ya,
Renee
