Upcycled Tin

Sunday Salutations! I finally got to work on some tin cans and coffee cans that I've been saving for quite some time.

Love the image on this coffee can. Sweet birds and nests welcome Springtime. On the backside I put a quotation.

I spray painted the cans yesterday and left them to dry. When I went out to get them today, I found the sweetest little half portion of a baby bird eggshell.

Unfortunately, I set it on the dining table and in all the jumble of my papers and cuttings and gluing, it fell and broke into pieces. It's amazing how fragile those little eggs are.

I printed images that I had saved from many sources, but unfortunately cannot remember exactly where they all came from. I'm sure some are from The Graphics Fairy. Clearly Vintage has great images to share. And so many sweet bloggers post their own for others to use.

"Happiness comes from spiritual wealth, not material wealth ... Happiness comes from giving, not getting. If we try hard to bring happiness to others, we cannot stop it from coming to us also. To get joy, we must give it, and to keep joy, we must scatter it. (John Templeton)

I wish you all happiness and many blessings! Tammy

I love your creations...how inspiring! And sad that the egg broke, but the picture of it is really nice, so save that! A great background to work off of!
Your tin can creations are precious...as is your blog!

Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving a comment. Love your coffee tin & especially the saying you put on it. Most of mine are plastic these days -- except for Target's brand. I'm headed back to read your past posts. Have a good week. Jan

They look so pretty Tammy. I did this with one last Spring, I don't know why I didn't make more. I'll have to get that going.
Have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Marcia

Love your can redo!! We use a can for our fellowship (instead of taking up an offering)- people just slip their money in the can when they come in. I covered it with a cute piece of scrap paper but it is beginning to show wear so I think I might have to get that can of spray paint our and do a Tammy!

Hello Tammy...I like what you've done with the cans you saved. I have to admit I have not done much crafty lately.. Maybe after I get back from Florida.
Hugs to you all.

Beautiful thoughts from a beautiful person. Love the vintage printouts....very classy. How cute that you take such joy out of a little eggshell. I have some chocolate hershey eggs if you want. They are doing me no good...HA! I loved your quote and am thinking of stealing it for a little project I will do for some of the girls at the school plus some admin. I had something else already printed and ready to be lamented but I might just use this instead. Thanks for all the lovely ideas that I get to steal from time to time.
