All is well

Good evening dear friends. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for leaving such sweet well wishes. I saw my doctor yesterday for test results. It seems most of what I am experiencing is due to hormonal changes (I guess Sam is right - everything is hormonal). Cholesterol, triglycerides and sugar levels are perfect. My father had a triple bypass when he was 45 and I've always been afraid I would follow in his footsteps. I am so glad I took my health seriously 5 years ago, lost weight, and started eating properly. I feel so much better due to those simple lifestyle changes. Still waiting for some further test results, but don't think they are going to show much. What can I say! I'm 44 and things start to change.

The nurse saw this pink ball of yarn in my bag and the next 5 minutes was a discussion of crocheting and embroidery. My doctor is from Romania and said that she used to crochet many, many moons ago and that she also was very good at embroidery. The Indian nurse said she never learned any craft but that her sisters were very good at it. I find it so interesting that a ball of yarn can bring about such comradery. I was greeted by a lovely full moon when I left the clinic.

And today's weather was perfect with blue skies and lots of sunshine. Jingles was very happy to spend most of the day on the balcony.

The days are just speeding by and I'm afraid Spring Break is going to be over before we know it. Hope all is well in your part of the world. Many blessings, Tammy

Tammy, I am so glad to hear that all is well! I'm having trouble seeing pictures on my computer right now so I'll have to come back to view the rest of what you've posted at another time, but the important thing is that you are fine ... thank you God! Have a wonderful day/evening.

Hi Tammy! I'm glad to hear all is well! It's good to know your body so well that you know the changes going on and don't ignore them... I'm 49 so I also went to the dr. with some hormonal stuff recently and she said 'oh your too young still' and then I listed changes I recognized. Guess what, not too young! ;) WE ARE MADE TO CHANGE. it's o.k.! Stay healthy, Theresa

Hi there! So very thankful that you're healthy, only hormonal - we females always have so many "lovely" body changes, don't we?!

I really like the blog background and other changes you've made - great colors!

Oh sweet Jingles - don't cats love to lay in the sun? Give him some extra love and petting from me...

Hi Tammy,
I was happy to read the test results came back with good news. I think hormones are behind every ailment I'm experiencing anymore....I'll be 50 in a couple of months so I guess I'd better get used to it.
Have a great week.

Such wonderful news Tammy. I too took my health more seriously a few years ago. I had always been thin and then when I hit my forties the pounds started to creep on, and then when I was about 47 or so, I decided that my health was more important than a few bags of chips, adn I started the not so easy process of losing thirty pounds. It was the best thing I've ever done for myself. My cholesterol is still a little high, but it is much better than it was. It's our duty to take care of ourselves, so we can continue to live here in love.

YAY for you! Those hormones do wreak havoc at times. I made it to 60 without having much more than hot flashes. But losing weight and eating healthier really helped me the most! Enjoy your break...Sherry

Hi Tammy,

I am so happy for you dear friend, always a worrying time and now you will be able to relax.
Love your photo of the moon and Jingles.
I love the pretty colour of your yarn.
I wished I had the camera with me this morning, dropping the family down to the 7.15 am ferry, the sky and moon looked amazing.

Happy week

Tammy - I wish you good health and many, many, blessings. I love the story about how the ball of yarn gave you a connection to the Doctor and nurse and promted some nice conversation. Every where I go - I take my knitting. Through that - I have met the nicest people and had some wonderful conversations.

Thank you for stopping by to see me again - I love hearing from you and I do so appreciate the nice comments. I feel that I am just getting to know you also - this is really just so much fun to meet nice, new people.

What fabulous news! Good for you, and such a relief. That is a beautiful moon greeted you upon your departure. We've had a weekend of summer like warm weather but today was grey and drizzly. However, it was still very pleasant and not cold at all. Our weather changes so fast yet it is always mild. Your Jingles looks like a little statue sitting there! What a cutie he is.

I'm glad everything came back normal. I'm finding that there's a reason they call this period of our life "the change". I used to think it would just happen, but it seems to be a series of changes, not just one, doesn't it? I enjoyed the ball of yarn story too.
Blessings,
Marcia

Isn't it great that a simple ball of yarn can bring people together to talk. I am so blessed that a small comment on my blog has brought me so much conversation and joy with you a half a world away!

Enjoy your spring break.

I have not been on my email much lately, so I am glad to know the test results came back and that they are good. I knew they would be. Just talking with you over the last year or two, it sure sounded like hormones were changing. It is a natural process of life, and I know you of all people will welcome the change and find whatever good there is to it all.
Hearing about your crochet ball was just funny. You were always carrying yarn with you when I was in Kuwait, so it does not surprise me to know it became a conversation piece today. I have been taking my cross stitching with me when I go places too. A nice way to spend my time. I have been working on once piece for weeks now and want to finish it. I need to get a few necklaces made for our golf fund raiser. I showed one to Mary (the director of the program) the other day and told her I was making a few to be given away at the fund raiser. She almost fell off her chair. I have had a few people say they want to buy some of them, so we will see what happens.
Glad to hear all is good with the doctor!!!

Love always,
Renee
