White Wednesday Wishes

"Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.” (Khalil Gibran)

Jingles says hello to one and all from the white wicker chair in my bedroom. She sleeps on Yusef's bed during the day and on the wicker chair at night.

I forgot to show you the pretty crocheted broach I bought the other nite at the Palestinian Exhibition. And you won't believe the wonderful gift I received today.

One of the young teachers at school who is Palestinian was going to the Exhibition last nite, so yesterday at school I showed her the things I had bought. I had worn the black and red beaded necklace and told her about the necklace I passed over, but that I just loved. A pink and taupe necklace. I walked into my office this morning and THERE IT WAS! I just gasped and ran to her classroom to tell her how wonderful she is and how thankful I am. Isn't it so special when we receive unexpected surprises!
My day started off to a good start with actual fresh, cool air outside this morning; no traffic on the way to school; and then the gift of the necklace. I am thankful for all those things today!

I am also thankful for the computer that allows me to stay connected with friends and family and to share in this wonderful world of blogging.
"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." (Albert Schweitzer)
So many wonderful bloggers out there are having giveaways, but alas, I live so far away -- for today, this is my giveaway.

Peace & blessings, Tammy

Karma baby! Good deeds always rebound back to those who are the good deeders:) Sounds corny, I know. Happy to know that someone actually gave you a taste of the kind of happiness that you spread around.

Awe Tammy...I'll gladly accept your little heart! That is too sweet of you!!! That has to be the best giveaway I have ever received, seriously.
Your sweet friend really gave you a wonderful surprise. I'm sure you are known around the school yard to be a giving heart too so it's no surprise that someone spoils YOU for a change!!!
Today I am thankful for having you as a wonderful friend, even though it is through a computer because we live on different sides of the world :)
I had to laugh this morning as I read your comment on my post. To answer your question...maybe 30 minutes or so. All it takes for me to write is a photo. Sometimes a photo is worth a thousand words...I just add a little extra to it ;)
Love your new blog look~

You really did have a nice day. GOOD FOR YOU!! I am thrilled to know that your teacher friend went out of her way to surprise you. In addition to that, a cool morning and no traffic. I would hang onto that happy feeling as long as you can. No telling when the weather and traffic will cooperate in unison again! Hope the rest of your day was as good as the first part!!!!! Thanks for the giveaway!

Tammy, your present presented to us is the BEST there is! I, too, am thankful for my computer and for the wonderful friends like you that I have met! That was so sweet of the young teacher to give you the lovely necklace that you had admired. I think God sends special people our way at just the time we need to be lifted up, don't you? Have a terrific end of the week! Vicki
