Saturday Salutations

Hope everyone has had a great start to the weekend. Saturday is the second day of our weekend so it is back to school and work tomorrow. I went with a friend and her daughter to The Kuwait Textile Association's bazaar today at Sadu House which is where the old technique of rug making is still used. My camera died with the first picture I wanted to take. Boo! So I used my mobile and Yusef uploaded the pictures to our laptop when I got home. YEA! The pictures below are from inside Sadu House. Camel hair is used for weaving so the balls of yarn are quite big. The quilted picture is amazing. I've always wanted to try something like that, but on a smaller scale. Enjoy the following images!

When we came out from the bazaar, there was a nice drizzly rain. It's a cloudy wonderful day. We definitely need the rain. Blessings to you and yours! Tammy

Thanks for sharing your adventure. It amazes me that women all over the world create. I can't believe you have Singer Sewing Machines there in Kuwait! Have a great week!

I need to go out there sometime. Sounds like it would be interesting to watch. How do I get there? Your phone took some pretty good pictures.

Fun at the bazaar and all that looms ahead!
My house also is full of color, I tend to lean toward the warmer shades. But the more visits I make in blogland I am drawn to whites and pinks. I was unprepared for today's PINK so I snatched a book of the shelf 'Small Space Style' and shared.
Have a great PINK weekend full of rest, relaxation, and love ;-)

This bazaar is nothing like what I expected you would be doing today. REALLY neat!! I am glad you and Leslie were able to get there together, as I know Renee keeps her busy. How really nice of the organization to open up their doors and educate the public about some of the beautiful things being made. Really nice. I loved the doors that opened up on the top and the bottom.
What a wonderful way to spend your day. I am off to golf with Zane and have my sights set on those new hills for this afternoon.

Love,
Renee

Ooo, neato! Wow, camel hair yarn. That's one I haven't had the pleasure of trying yet. You have so many neat things over there.

Hi Tammy,
This is fascinating to me. All the beautiful colors and the patterns that they weave. This must be a sight to see in person. Great photos too!
