Friday Frogs and Finishes

I think we will be staying around the house today and that is just fine with me. Zack is at baseball practice and I will pick him up in a bit. Sam is not feeling well. I'd like to do some cleaning and crafting at my leisure today. Below are handcrafted frogs that I've purchased over the years at craft shows. The ladies who made them did so in order to raise money for leukaemia research.

I just love this little little guy!

Last nite I made over a Special K box as a gift bag and also decorated an old candle jar I saved. The beading part around the top is actually from an old belt that I hadn't worn in years.

May you all have a crafty day! Blessings, Tammy

Tammy, oh my gosh, you frogs are just adorable. I have been looking at each of the pictures trying to pick out a favorite! Special-K, one of my favorites, never thought to redo the boxes for gift giving. I do recyle a lot of things though, always conscience of the world around us and how wasteful many are. Love your quote above!! Wishing you a crafty day too. hugs, Debby

I think recycling cereal boxes for gift giving is a great idea. We go through enough cereal around here so I should have plenty to repurpose. I love your candle too!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Love your frog collection! And I am totally impressed with your cereal box transformation! Was that easy??
Also, the bags I used for my first Christmas craft post are #2 white bags which measure 8" X 4" I cut them down to fit the top note die. I buy them at papermart.com. But if you buy them you have to have friends to share with, I think I had to buy 500. Would you like me to mail you some?

Hi Tammy,
What cute little frogs. And what can I say about your Special K box turned into a gift bag? What a clever idea....so creative. I'll have to try that one. And your candle holder turned out so pretty...love the lace trim and button. Such a creative gal. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Until next time.

Hugs,
♥Ana

Great crafting! Who knew a cereal box could be so charming? Those frogs are too funny! For a good cause that makes them wonderful!!
I am on Ernie's computer at work right now. Ours has been down the last 2 days... we cancelled our home phone and they said our computer would be down a short time. hugs! Gwen:)

Cute frogs. I have stone and ceramic frogs out in my garden. I add a new one almost every year.

Froggies are adorable!! There are so many creative ideas out there I seem to be saving every box and roll I get! Lot less trash these days (at least in the trash!)

I nver liked a frog until I saw these. Agreed with everybody. I'm gonna steal the one with the ghithra for my husband when your not looking. Nothing wrong with having a lazy day. Sure doesn't look like you've been lazy.

My Friday was anything but crafty. It is now Monday night, but I really enjoyed seeing what you were up to on Friday. I don't remember you having so many frogs. I remember one but that is it.
Your cereal boxes are getting more creative all the time. I can't imagine the look on people's faces when they get presented with one and realize what it was in it's "past life".
Hope Sam is feeling better.

Love,
Renee
