Hello Out There!

Well, I have been MIA for a very long time.
I let the last half of August and the whole month of September pass by without a peep out of me.  So, with a brand new month upon us, I figure it's about time I get back into the swing of things.
In all honesty, there has been a slight bit of depression going on for a myriad of reasons.  The summer heat wasn't helping since it was keeping me from being outdoors as much as I would like (and need).  But, as you can see in the photo above, the butterflies are back, which means that Autumn is upon us and this morning I had a very nice 5 km walk with the temperature just hovering around 100 F.
I know for some of you even that is considered hot, but after surviving harsh desert heat for months, 100 F feels pretty darn good.
In the past month and a half, there was a short trip to Bahrain and preparations for a bazaar that was held on Saturday, but I will share more about all that later.  I never even finished fully posting about my trip to Lebanon in July.
For now, I will leave you with scenes from my walk around the neighborhood.

Happy October!

I’m SO glad to see you back. I can’t even imagine that kind of heat. I think 100-105 is awful. Thank you for your comment on my blog. It was really nice to hear from you.
Blessings,
Betsy

Tammy.. I'm so happy to see you posted and to catch up with you! I'm sorry you've been down. I hope whatever was worrying you has resolved itself. I've had some sad things happen recently but it's gotten better. I've missed you! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

So good to hear from you, Tammy! I enjoyed your beautiful photos...butterflies!!!...flowers and the pretty variegated purple heart you made. You deserve a purple heart for enduring the intense desert heat! I am glad you were able to get out and about. Exercise helps me combat depression as well. I have committed myself to help lead and attend four small groups of women...one of which works on crocheting blankets and hats for preemie babies. That level of involvement is a stretch for this introvert, :) but it also puts me in touch with the reality that I am not alone in grappling with depressing aspects of life, and it is sometimes easier to recognize joy as others cheer me on in the process :) Looking forward to your future posts! xx

Oh, Tammy, I am so relieved to see your post today. I am doing my weekly scroll through all my favorite blogs, and as I clicked on yours, I whispered a little prayer - please, let her be there. PRAYER ANSWERED. I hope the cooling (relatively) weather brings more balm to your soul … Your butterfly shot is surreal - I have looked at it several times, wondering if you photo-shopped the critters! But the shot that made me smile was the crochet heart - TAMMY'S BACK!

Great to see you posting again, Tammy!

The pictures are all so beautiful — I especially love the angle perspective of the first one.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. I've been feeling a little down myself this past month. Can't really explain why. I didn't even have the urge to participate in INKtober this year. :(

Looking forward to more of your posts. :)

Good to hear from you, Tammy. Whew, 100 degree heat is intense, but I guess everything is relative, isn't it? I'm glad it's cool enough for you to walk and enjoy the beautiful sights in your world.

Wishing you well Tammy. I hear you about not feeling right. I am feeling a bit the same but it is mostly due to overwork and the country. As for you my friend I prescribe, rest, deep breathing, walks and playing with yarn. And of course talking to good friend, I'm here if you need anything.

Dearest Tammy,
Well, as long as the humidity is not over 90% any heat around or above 100˚F would not bother me. Working inside the greenhouses was around 120˚F and very high humidity.
You always shoot the most amazing and lovely photos.
But no matter what the capacity of the camera is like, the person behind the lens has to have a feeling for beauty in the details that do surround us! You certainly know where to look.
Sending you big hugs,
Mariette
