Soul Nurturing

An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.
Henry David Thoreau
If the path be beautiful, let us not ask where it leads.
Anatole France
I didn't get out early, but I did go for a walk.
Last week we had rather dusty weather so I didn't get out at much.  With today being the start of a new week (Friday and Saturday are the weekend), I decided it was as good a time as any to start off on the right foot.
I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.
J. B. Priestley
I am always looking for ways to nurture my soul.
In fact, this morning, I did some morning pages (3 pages of stream of consciousness journaling), a 10 minute meditation and a 20 minute yoga routine.
And then a walk in nature.

Nature is fuel for the soul.
Richard Ryan

Doing my best to stay on a positive path.

Sunday blessings,

That sounds like my idea of a perfect way to start the day! I wish I had time to do all those things every morning instead of being rushed to get out the door a lot of mornings. I've been incorporating more meditation into my day though (I do guided meditations via apps on my phone), and it's really helped with my anxiety level.

Starting the day with intention is a wonderful idea, I think. Too bad I don't achieve it often. When I retire (in a couple of years) I hope to develop a pattern of going for a walk in the morning as well as in the afternoon/evening. Lovely sights along your pathway today.

Beautiful post as usual and I am a 'new day, fresh start' kind of gal also as your quote suggested. If I wasn't I would have thrown in the towel long ago! LOL! I need to walk but I have put it off because of the heat but there are no excuses now except that my girls will not be able to accompany me which will make it sad for me. Nitty is out in the garage because she can't make it up the stairs, Annie has a bad back but manages to get out to the porch most times but they are both a little incontinent now which keeps me busy 'cleaning up' but I love them and they are my dear friends and companions.
The flowers you showed are beautiful and such lovely places to walk. I will try to get over here more often...I get 'tuckered out' trying to get to everything in a day! LOL! Old age is making it's presence known but I am luckier than many so I am not complaining. I hope you and all your boys are fine and your sweet kitty too! Hugs~Sam

Mature is indeed a cure. I recently read that doctors are more and more prescribing and hour or two out in nature to patients. It does have an incredible effect on me :)
Your walks are amazing and inspiring !

Beautiful photos and glad you're doing what you enjoy and remaining positive.
I'm not so positive nowadays, and don't know when I'll feel that way again... but like you, I still do my daily workout and it does help in many ways.

Hope you enjoy a good new week.
Linda

Tammy - your quotes are spot on - and sorry I am a little behind on commenting. I have a couple of major family projects I am working on, and it is taking more time than I would like! But I signed up for these tasks, so I can't complain now … so your positive quotes and your example are helping me ...
