A Week in Review

This last week of November has been a busy one.
Last Friday we went to lunch with my friend, Marisol.
And then to see Shadowland at the ice skating rink.
Photos were not allowed during the performance.  It wasn't quite what I expected.
The dancing was fantastic, but we all thought the story line was a little unusual.
On Saturday I had a lovely breakfast with friends.
Monday night my boss had a Thanksgiving dinner for all the new teachers at school, so my husband and son were able to get their turkey fix.
On Tuesday there was an air show as we made our way home from school.
And that night I went to a Kuwait Textiles Art Association meeting where Bader Al Mansour talked about art and his exhibition.
His work deserves a whole post of its own.
Wednesday night was Zack's first band concert of the year.
Yesterday the British Ladies Society had their annual Winter Bazaar.  I bought many things, but these below were my favorite purchases. They were made by the ladies in shelter at Booth House.  The same group I visited last year and taught to crochet, albeit different ladies as they are coming and going every 40 days or so.
Afterwards we had lunch with friends at Al Muhallab, our favorite seafood restaurant.
There has been walking as time permits.
An hour yesterday morning and an hour and a half today.
There's been cleaning but I try not to think about that too much.
I will  say that it's quite difficult to put fresh sheets on the bed when this one is around.
And there's been lots of sky watching.
Who needs a tv when you have this to view every day?
We actually cancelled our satellite subscription some time ago as we hadn't turned the tv on since March.

For those who celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday, I hope you had a wonderful day surrounded by family and friends.  I honestly cannot believe that tomorrow begins the last month of 2013.
Best wishes and blessings,

This post really shows what an interesting and full life you are living so far away. All the different venues and food with friends makes the days very special. Very sweet of you to support the shelter buying their handmades. Peace and Joy Dear...

Dearest Tammy,
Indeed, it is unbelievable that we start December of 2013... It is a constant race against time.
We did enjoy a lovely Thanksgiving with all the trimmings at our Friends (Family without kinship) home. One other friend attended after he'd had open heart surgery 10 days prior. Life can suddenly change.
Sending you lots of love and glad you were so busy; that's a positive thing and having perfect weather for walks is a BONUS!

Hi Tammy sounds like a fun week for sure. I would have loved the art exhibit, looks like allot of fiber art. Love your sky photos-those clouds are just so dramatic looking.
I can't believe tomorrow is December already either. Pretty kitty what's her name?

The year has gone by as fast as your week! With all you have done, it must have zoomed past!!!! I cannot believe it's going to be Dec either and the holidays looming out there. Your photos are always so wonderful and it's like a little mini-vacation when I look through them! YOU are looking fit and wonderful, girl. All that vegan and walking is good for you, I see!
Have a more relaxing week! And you are going to have to teach Jingles how to make the bed!

A very busy and joyful week, Tammy. Thank you so much for sharing it. Jingles just wants to help you change the sheets and make the bed! When I had my last kitty I would walk into the bedroom and a big lump would be under the bedding - she would crawl up inside and take a nap!! Diane

Your pictures of the sky are simply beautiful, Tammy. No doubt you don't need a TV. Your pictures of all the delectable food made me hungry, it all looks so interesting. I'm wondering if you ever get to the states at all, especially during the holidays.

Lovely to see pictures of you and your friend!
