Koosa, Crochet and a Cat Award

Yesterday, on her last day here, my SIL made meshi and taboulleh for lunch.  Meshi is koosa (zucchini) that is normally stuffed with rice and meat, but she made it vegetarian just for me and boy oh boy was it good.
While she was busy packing, I started a granny square baby afghan but am not really liking the olive green color.  In direct sunlight, it seems to match the variegated yarn perfectly, but in dim light, it looks totally different.  I think I may need to unravel and find a different green so have stopped working on it for now.
With early morning temperatures cooling off, the flowers are starting to bloom more and more.
I just wish our afternoon temperatures would cooperate. It's still well above 100 degrees every single day.
The birdies and kitties are wishing for cooler weather, too.
Jingles would like to thank Sudden, the Cape and Miss Truls for the cat award she received yesterday
and would like to pass it on to:
Maxwell and Nina at Rostrose
and her many feline friends at Mariette's Back to Basics.
Happy weekend wishes.

Oh yes...the lazy weekend jammies and relaxing just enough to gear up for another week of busyness. Delicious food and safe travels to your SIL. Jingles knows how to relax away the time. Hoping for cooler afternoons for you dear...

Dearest Tammy,

Lovely post, and the food made by your sister in law.
Thanks for the cat award! We added officially one more member to our family. An abandoned kitten showed up and lived in the magnolia tree. We started feeding it and yesterday, Pieter took it to the vet. Turned out to be a boy and he had an infection in his mouth. Five shots, one anti biotics, also the rabies shot. Paying $ 150.00 because of somebody else's neglect! In 3 weeks he will get neutered.
Hugs to you,
Mariette

What a great SIL! It is so hard to rip out a project. I would have put it aside for a bit, too. Frustrating when color schemes don't work out quite as planned.

I think I'm going to be starting a granny soon too. Just love these. The colors in the pic look fine to me, but maybe different in person. Stuffed zucchini sounds wonderful. Have to try this one of these days. Have a great, day/evening full of blessings sweet girl.

That's so funny because our flowers here are starting to bloom again too with the cooler temps.
Oh....stuffed zuchini...sounds wonderful...great idea, I'll have to try that someday. It looked delish!
I love the baby afghan colors but if you're not happy with it then "frog" it or leave it be for awhile and go back later and see what you think.
I love the "Cat Awards"...what a cute idea! Jingles definitely deserves one wearing a fur coat in that heat! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! TTYS!

I do love delicious vegetarian foods too and taboulleh is so delicious and fresh perfect in your warm weather. You've done so much of your blanket Tammy it would be a shame to unravel it, maybe you could turn it into a pillow?
