The Weekend

One of the new teachers at school asked me what I was most looking forward to this weekend.  I said  putting my pajamas on and staying home.
All schools started back this past Sunday and traffic that day was pure hell. The kids and I have had to get up earlier so we can head out by 6:40 a.m. just to avoid all the craziness.
Early, lazy mornings are nice.  Extra early mornings of rushing around I could do without.
Who among us hasn't envied a cat's ability to ignore the cares of daily life and to relax completely?
(Karen Brademeyer)
My husband and his sister returned on Tuesday from a week long trip to Jordan and Jerusalem where they visited family.
She'll be heading back to Toronto at 4 a.m. Saturday morning, so until then, I'll be a bit busy.

I hope you all are having a great week.
Best wishes,

Oh, busy-ness...not my favorite! But, something we all have to endure, isn't it?! Sounds like you and the boys have it figured out. I actually like getting up extra early to enjoy a VERY peaceful house before everyone else gets up. Time of my very own...helps me gear up for the busy-ness soon to come...

Wishing you a bit of peace and quiet amidst all the hustle and bustle, dear friend!

Cats seem to have life figured out; it mostly consists of naps, with intermittent eating, snuggling and a bit of hunting. Enjoy your weekend and your pjs.

I seem to have managed a cat's life many times because my head is often in the clouds or examining something tiny on the ground ;) You know I'm not big on rushing but I do really love to have fun things to do on the weekend outside of home because I get too bored otherwise. It's funny because I used to be more of a homebody and am not sure why that's changed a bit but it has.

This is Homecoming weekend here - lots of fun. :)

Enjoy your time. ♥

Hi Tammy,

You do sound busy busy and yes a weekend to relax and lounge around in your pj's is a nice thing to do.
Also love the quote about the dear cat, so true.

Enjoy your weekend

I'm not a fan of crazy traffic situations either. So if schools are in on Sundays, does that mean your weekends are Fridays and Saturdays? I'm looking forward to another PJ day. LOVE that first photo...it looks like succulent?

I'm sure your hubby and his sister would have enjoyed time with family.

Enjoy the rest of your week too, Tammy...it's Friday here so wishing you a restful weekend too. xo

School on Sunday? Do your kids go to school everyday? The U.S. wants to do that, but I don't think the parents will go for it. :)

Enjoy relaxing. Your comment reminds me of something I would say. There's nothing quite like the days with no outside plans.
Love the cat quote.

Dearest Tammy,

Guess what Pieter's heart surgeon told him one day? Learn more from your cats about how to relax and do away with stress. It is true, we ought to copy-cat from them somewhat more!
Have a great time with your sister-in-law. It is special to be with family, exhausting but worth it.
Hugs to you,
Mariette

I love a morning of reading the paper with a cup of tea. It is 8 AM and I have cleaned the grout in my bathroom, done two loads of laundry, walked the dog and gotten youngest son off to school. Not a relaxing morning that is for sure. I am looking forward to tomorrow when I will take it easy. I bet you are having a lovely time with your SIL, there is nothing better than a visit from family.
Happy Weekend,
MEredith

To tell you the truth I will skip the jammies just to be able to go on a proper outing and use the fabulous Indian summer days :)
Have a lovely weekend!!

Hi Tammy....Oh yeah. Cats sure know how to de-stress. Honey Cat has shown me that!

Glad your hubs was able to spend time with his sister. That's always a blessing.

Take care and get on those pj's. The weekend is HERE! Susan

Yep...jammies, coffee, blogs....an no comittments! I never realized how much I detested "multi-tasking" until I retired and lived alone......ahhhhhh....I don't think we are meant to "hyper-ventilate" through life. I just don't think it's healthy for the body or the mind but maybe it's just me? I'm not lazy but I like to work at my own speed...albeit....that's slow but I know how to prioritize....LOL!

You gotta love a cats ability to be ignorant but cute at the same time!

Yes...I don't mind early mornings as long as it is "my" time and I am not rushing around getting ready to go somewhere. I have been enjoying some early morning reading lately. :-)

I've never managed to stay in them all day but really look forward to putting them on in the evening - and hoping like heck no-one does a surprise visit to our house!! I hope you get to have a nice PJ weekend this weekend hon. You've got to love the life of a cat don't you!!!
