Yesterday I met friends for breakfast at Ayyame.
Years ago, we were a group of 10-12 but many have left the country.

We hadn't seen each other since travelling for the summer. Susana went to Venezuela; Zainab went to Dubai and London; Elena went to Romania and Italy; I went to Sri Lanka and Germany; and Melissa went to Dubai.
So there was lots of gift giving and catching up to do.

Oh this brings memories of a group of my friends that we call "The Lunch Bunch" Girls I grew up with, and now we are few. So sad.

I couldn't survive without my friends, so I know how nice it is to visit with them.
Yes, those are my granddaughters on my blog. Alissa turned 10 last Friday - I can't believe it! I took her to Maryland for my neice's wedding. Ginny (the little one) was the flower girl and I just happened to get this great picture of them together. It was at a beautiful winery in the rolling hills near Pennsylvania. It's been an intense couple of weeks and I've thoroughly enjoyed being by myself all this weekend. Hope to get into a normal routine starting tomorrow.

Great post about warm friendship. As I write this comment, we just got back from an afternoon/evening with friends. Great food and catching up on several things. It is good for our souls. It rains outside, the more we cherish such hours together.

this is a nice post... i also have few Indo-Russian friends here, but we live way too far from each other to meet frequently. and that message about friends: my best friend gifted me a small magnet with the same. now she lives in another country, but yes, i know, that i have a friend there :)

Dearest Tammy, the saying about friendship is so beautiful and so true! I also have made friendships that are "scattered around the world", it is wonderful if you manage to meet each other sometimes!
