Weekend Wrap-up

Good morning! I hope you are having a great weekend. Even though it is too hot to go outside, Jingles likes to have the balcony door open so that she can feel she is communing with nature. I open it for about 10 minutes before it gets too hot.

Things are quiet around here. As I write, Hurricane Irene still hasn't made landfall. First the earthquake and now a hurricane. Crazy times indeed!

Our temperatures are still well above 100 every day but thankfully the humidity is low. Early mornings don't feel so bad, if you consider 90 degrees to be cool.

I noticed this new weed popping up in one of my pots. I like anything than can survive the heat and dust.

Although I should be doing so many other things, I continue to find a moment here and there to crochet. I seem to be a bit addicted at the moment.

Guess it is time to break myself away for a bit of cleaning. Have a wonderful day! Friendship blessings, Tammy

The heat is finally winding down some here, but I still can't wait for fall.
Right now we are experiencing the wrath of "Irene." High winds and things blowing around all over the place. I'll be glad when it moves on.

Have a wonderful week.

hugs

Isn't it amazing how those weeds can make it through anything. Wish they could figure out how to get the veggies to do that. Have a great weekend & enjoy your crocheting. Jan

Jingles and Sally are quite the same. Sally wants me to open the balcony each morning so shhe can sit and get some fresh air. She soen´t care what weather we have as loong as she can sit there for let´s say 15 minutes... :)
Crazy times now I agree. Who knows what is waiting? One thing is sure though, nature will survive. Your pots shows us how strong Mother Nature is.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Blessings!

That hurricane makes our 100+ temps seem not so bad, doesn't it? I am lovin' those solid colored squares. I think there is just something so comforting about the simple repetitive task of handwork... the addiction. ;) Hope you have a wonderful weekend. blessings ~ tanna

We are finally having some warm days here, in the 70's to 80's. I will have our grandsons this afternoon and we will get the little pool out. I think that doing a little hand work every day is necessary for peace of mind, it is therapy so keep at it. Stay as cool as you can and have a great weekend.

Good to know that your humidity is down and it is a bit cooler. We are having some breezy weather this morning and low 90s predicted. Hopefully we will all be feeling much cooler weather soon. In the meantime, don't work too hard and enjoy your crocheting.

HI TAMMY,
"NO" I DIDN'T MAKE THE COOKIES, NEWEST COOKIE FROM FIG NEWTON, THEY ARE FIG AND HONEY THINS.
THEY ARE DELICIOUS, ESPECIALLY WITH TEA. I AM ALWAYS CROCHETING TOO, WORKING ON A THROW RIGHT NOW, WILL POST SOON. WELL, IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME NOW, WE SHOULD BE GETTING HIT BY IRENE TONIGHT AND INTO TOMORROW. I AM 45 MINUTES FROM THE BEACH, BUT I AM SURE THERE WILL BE LOTS OF RAIN AND WIND. TAKE CARE, HAVE A GREAT DAY, I LOVE YOUR PRETTY YELLOW FLOWERS. RIZZI

I'm not looking forward to our summer but I shouldn't complain when I hear of the temps you endure. It's amazing that weeds seem to survive just about any weather extreme.

I'm getting close to finishing my crochet ripple blanket. Your crochet squares are pretty...purple and yellow are the perfect compliment to each other. :)
